Kenta was in a fairly bad mood as he unbuttoned his dark striped vest while walking in the lit hallway. These days, he seemed to be very tired from all the work and running around he had been doing, not to mention the stench of alcohol in the bars made him dizzy. But it just wasn't avoidable, since he was a waiter.
He cursed a little under his breath, and ran his fingers through his dark brown hair. Yes this was a tiring job, but it was all he had. He just had to think of the positive things. A lot of interesting people were in the club, some intrigued the young man since he did not socialize that well so the hosts in the club were the complete opposite of him.
He did not exactly know a lot of people in the club yet.. but he shrugged that off since that was the least of his worries. He walked along the corridors almost aimlessly, passive to his surroundings and not even noticing anything or anyone who would pass by.

Thanatos was also strolling throught he halls, his mind muddled with thoughts on how to better his approach as a Host. It seemed everyone thought him too shy or reserved. He didn't seem to think so but it was just easier being himself instead of wearing a mask for the many customers that would enter the club.
Why pretend? Give them a wonderful time with the man he truly was and send them on their way. They should already know this place provided fantasies. Sighing deeply, Xan was in the process of removing his Stetson causing his line of vision to momentarily break. It just so happened he'd run into someone along the way.
Instantly his mannerisms kicked in as he apologized politely. "Pardon me, wasn't watchin' where I was going there." He looked up to notice one of the few he'd met only breifly in the Club below. It was Kenta and he was a waiter. That was as far as he knew or cared to know. But perhaps Brad had a point, he couldn't remain excluded from the rest of the world for too long. Everything he did would eventually catch up if he didn't pay attention and actually live his life instead of letting it live him.

Kenta felt a sudden force on his arm and immediately turned back to apologize but it seemed that the other man had beat him to it so he bowed his head slightly in forgiveness. The waiter's eyes slowly made it back to the person and saw a familiar hat in the man's hands, and he could not be mistaken, it was the 'cowboy host' as Kenta had told himself. For a few moments, he could not recollect his thoughts fast enough and grasped for the name of this man he had met once before.
''It's no problem at all'' he paused, ''Ah, Xan, isn't it? Please forgive my carelessness'' he said with a somewhat weary tone. He was still in quite a mood but that was not an excuse to be impolite to people.
He looked directly at Xan's face, this was one person who was very different from other people in the club. Not to be unfair to other hosts or staff but this man had an air of uniqueness that made Kenta wonder.

Breaking his concerned furrow he melted into a charming smile as the other nodded and confirmed his forgiveness. "Ah no worries. As long as no bones are broken or egos scared I think its clear sailin' from here." He chuckled light trying not to stare but it appeared the other was inclined to do so. Caught once again like a deer in headlights Xan's cheeks burned red as he broke their eye contact fidgeting with his Stetson for lack of anything else to say or do. Eventually words did form as his uneasiness finally kicked in, "Somethin' I can help you with. I reckon there's far better things to do then to be starin' at me all night." He chuckled nervously but managed to catch the other's eyes with his mint gaze.

Kenta did not notice that his gaze was still locked on Xan's face, as if searching for something that was not there. As if waking up from a deep sleep he blinked suddenly as he heard the voice of the host, stepping a few steps backward. He tried to recollect what was said to him but he did not catch what the host had said to him.
''Sorry about that'' he started, ''Nothing really. I was just heading to my room, and you? You might be very tired from your host duties. How is that going, if you don't mind me asking?'' he said that with a surprisingly kind tone.
Somehow for some reason, the tiredness he had felt a few moments ago disappeared.

Xan chuckled a bit nervously but managed to remain calm as he dived into a bit of conversation with Kenta. "Ah.. hosting it's going." He commented absently not really certain how to explain that. "I'm managing I guess. It's just so new to me. I don't know wether to wear a mask or just be myself." He scratched the side of his nose looking to the ceiling as if answers were plastered there. "I just don't know how to be something I'm not though... is that a bad thing?" He asked a real concerned look on his face. If he didn't do his job well and customers dislike him it was a sure thing he'd get the boot in no time. Someone as boring as he, couldn't possibly expect to keep the crowd comin'. He sighed leaning against the wall looking for the most part dejected.

The waiter cocked his head to the side, feeling a little curious as he was definitely a stranger to the 'hosting job', he always wondered how a host did his job and be charming to many different customers each day. Now, seeing Xan's reaction and problems, as well as his experiences with Brad previously, he concluded that it wasn't a simple task at all. He felt a little move relieved about his job.
''I would say, just to be yourself.'' the young man ruffled his dark hair a bit, ''I'm sure people like you as you are. Since you are good-looking and, you have natural charisma. Well, that's according to me.'' he said plainly, with a face with very little emotion.
He felt a little bad for Xan as he slumped against the wall and had a long face, Kenta was not really good at giving advice but hey, at least he tried, and he really meant it.

There it goes again... Xan looked up to gadge Kenta's expression but there was a lack of any kind of emotion on his face. That made it hard for Xan to swallow but his natural mannerisms kicked in by that time. "Thank you." He said simply. With the awkward silence between them, Xan looked nervously. Soon he couldn't stand it so began slipping past Kenta. "Well I suppose you have other things to do. I'll get out of your hair then." It was better to just leave, he didn't have anything further he could think to ask. Though it had been knawing in the back of his mind, how someone with such manners and a polite air about him, could have such a cold emotionless face?

Kenta always thought that actions spoke louder than words so he never really spoke very much and that led him to his downfall in social situations and it did not help that Xan, was a rather private person himself. And before Kenta knew it, the host walked by past him and this left the young man a little dazed. And as if on some sudden instinct he called out to Xan, holding his shoulder for a split second but then removing his hand because the other might think it was rude.
''No, nothing at all, really. I was actually going to sleep but suddenly, I feel quite..energized.'' he said with a kind voice, ''But if you are going to bed, that's alright. Unless you would like some company?''
He really did not know why he offered his company but he shrugged it off and waited for a response from he man.

Xan was halted by the hand on his shoulder, not finding it rude but unable to help the slight discomfort. He didn't flinch and only turned when the hand was removed. A few blinks in confusion and then a slow smile spread across his face. Ah so he was being invited for company. The smile never faultered as he spoke, "I was just going to unwind a bit." He said looking down the hall for a moment in thought then turned back to Kenta. "I wouldn't mind some company though." He then remembered something and smiled looking back down the hall. "I actually have a place I normally go around this time. Would you like to see it? Not sure if anyone checked it out before." He smiled warmly a slight eagerness to his words.

Kenta was quite happy that the man accepted his offer even if they were only acquaintances. Frankly enough, the waiter was getting bored of the same old routine he had everyday, which was mostly just work and attending to customers. It was a nice night, and why not enjoy it with someone?
''I see,'' he moved his head to the side and walked towards Xan, ''Sure, I would really like that. The night is still young anyways'' he said with an expression on his face that was almost a smile--almost.
''Where is this place you go to? I'm curious.''

Xan smiled brighter a twinkle in his eyes as he held up a hand. "One second." He walked down the hall to his room entering for a moment. There was a small amount of noise before he came back out with a bottle of wine. "I hope you don't mind I like to drink a bit of bubbly while gazing at the stars." He smiled a secret smile making his way past Kenta again toward the other end of the hall. "It's this way." At the end of the hall was a turn that led up a small flight of stairs to the rooftop landing. Opening the door he smiled to find it was a clear night, the moon full in the sky. "Perfect." He breathed holding the door open for Kenta.
Once both were settled on the landing, he set a can in the doorway to keep from locking them out and went to a small set up of crates. It appeared to be a makeshift table setting. "I found this not too long ago. Tryin' to make this a regular thing for when I get off work." Setting the wine bottle down he gestured for Kenta to take the remaining crate. The city was easily spread out before them at this height, not all of it could be seen but a good majority of the lights could be admired from their vangate point. With little light this high up it made it easier to see the stars outside of the glare of lighting from the city below. Off to the side of Xan was a small cooler where opened and produced a glass. "Would you like some wine?" He didn't know if Kenta were the type for any form of liquor but didn't think it right not to at least offer. He set another glass for Kenta just in case pouring some wine for himself.
"I usually come up here to just get away from all the hustle. Bein' a country boy quieter atmospheres are more my speed. 'Sides I used to do a lot of star gazin' back home."

Kenta did not mind the alcohol that much, sure he hated the smell but as long as the aroma was not cooped up in a room for him to smell-- then there was no problem. He nodded in response to Xan's words as the man led him through the hallway into this secret place he was talking about. As they came upon the door, the host opened it for him and it revealed quite a beautiful sight.
''Perfect is right'' his gaze was transfixed on the glowing full moon and the stars that accompanied it. It took him a few seconds to digest until he remembered that he had company. He had finally gotten a comfortable position beside Xan and where the sky served as the main attraction. He listened to the older man as he sipped the wine.
''This really is a nice place..'' he started ''Much better than the busy club in the evenings'', thinking about the club made his head hurt. ''Oh, no wine for me, thank you very much. I'm afraid just a little bit of that will make me all dizzy and I imagine you wouldn't want to carry me down'' he said with a joking tone in his voice.
''I see...'' he did not want to pry on Xan's personal life and past even if he did want to know more, ''It's funny, I wouldn't consider you the type to do this.. then again you're quite different from the others. I mean that in the best way possible'' he paused, the night air was making him quite sleepy and he hoped he wouldn't make a fool out of himself.
''Hm, thanks for bringing me here, though.''

Xan chuckled at Kenta's reaction to the suprise he had shown him. It was nice to get a reaction which was the point in the first place but it didn't end there. He had truly wanted some company for the evening. "You're welcome." He replied as he sipped his wine. Kenta continued to speak but when he seemed to elaspe into silence, Xan used that moment to take over. "Dizzy?" He couldn't help a slight chuckle noting that it a bit chilly out. "It'll keep you warm." He coaxed. Pouring a very small amount in Kenta's glass. "Take a sip, I'd prefer not to drink alone."
He sat silently wondering if the other would actually try some or not. He wasn't trying to force him but it really was chilly out and without a little spirits to warm the blood he'd more or less freeze. And if that came about then they'd have to cut their evening star gazing short.

Kenta nodded in confirmation when Xan chuckled about the fact that he easily gets dizzy because of alcohol. Well, for the record, it was extremely true. And it was further proven in his first days in the club when someone had slipped him a drink with a little alcohol and--- well, let's just say he wasn't a pretty sight.
The young man blinked at the glass Xan offered him, his eyes going back and forth from the glass to the host's face which really seemed to be sincere. Yes, the night air was getting to him since his waiter clothes weren't really enough to warm his body. Maybe a sip wouldn't hurt.. it would be polite to the company and he'd get warmer, both a good thing.
He shivered a little as his fingers toughed the glass Xan poured wine on, he bowed his head a little. ''Well, in that case, I will take a little sip if you don't mind.'' he paused, bringing the glass to his lips slowly, his lip ring making a small tinkling sound on the glass.
The aroma of the wine entered his nose at the second he put it towards his lips, he did not mind the smell as much as beer but it still made him cringe a little. ''There'' he said, holding the glass in front of him, ''Well, that wasn't so bad'' he said in an amused voice.
