Shamu swam around happily in a small pond, showing off his skill and his beautiful tail, even though no one was around to even see. He blinked his blue eyes, and jumped up out of the water before doing a back-flip dive-in like a trained whale would do. I love being half-fish! He smiled, feeling sorry for whoever wasn't. Doing a few more tricks and flips Shamu rested and floated across the water, too bad I'm terrible on land... Shamu looked at the grassy plains that surrounded him, it took him forever to get here and he really didn't want to leave any time soon. Turning onto his stomach he wadded in circles, looking around for any other life in the pond, he was hungry so if there wasn't any fish than he might have to move another to another pond ir back to the sea sooner than he had hoped.

Shamu frowned and stopped, to his disappointment he was the only one in the pond at the moment, besides a few frogs, bugs and tiny fish he could barely even see. And he most certainly wasn't going to try and eat any of those, he was too good for that. Sighing he heaved himself up onto land, hoping there would be another water source nearby, otherwise he was going be like a beached whale. This sucks... He growled as he dragged himself, using his tail to push him forward. You know what, forget it! He started to roll away, it proving much faster.

As Shamu rolled he spotted a blue female and quickly hid in some long grass and watched her, he didn't trust ulayas that weren't like him... that or he just wanted to act ninja-like for a bit. The long grass tickled his nose and he sneezed, giving himself away. Oh wonderful... He went on a short sneezing spree before he quickly covered his nose and eventually made them come to a halt. Well, she definitely knows I'm here now... He sneezed once more before sighing and sitting up straight, waiting for her to notice him.

Shamu tilted his head to the side slightly, what a weird female... well, if she didn't acknowledge his existence, then he wouldn't acknowledge hers. Flopping onto his stomach once again he rolled... until he hit a tree. Growling at the tree he got up and dragged himself around it... this was why he hated land, it was so hard to work with! Flopping himself back onto the ground he gasped for air, moving around tiring him out already. This is such a pain... There had better be a lake nearby!

"Both, prefer if I was whole fish though because then I wouldn't have to deal with this," he said getting up. He glared at his front legs, they were about as useful as fins. They helped steer but when it came to strength they were useless. He blinked looking at the other, "so what are you? You look ulaya but looks can deceive." He said, finally organizing himself and sat with his tail resting over his paws like he saw a female like him once do... or a cat do, he couldn't remember which.

"Ah, lucky.~ You get to walk and swim... Too bad you have to face the life of ulayas that just won't ever leave you alone, which is pretty bothersome..." He blinked, life has it's ups and downs... maybe he should just stay in the sea and stop bothering to see new places... "So... you like fish?" He wondered how she would react to the fact that he eats fish. Well... he tries not to eat them since they're practically kin but when there's nothing around he doesn't have much of a choice.

"Yeah... ulayas are confusing. It feels awkward to talk to them because I feel like any second I might say something wrong and they'll blow up..." He just realized the flaw in what he had said, "b-but not you though! I mean uh... you seem like a very understanding ulaya! Especially if you like fish whom are good listeners and um yeah... I should stop while I'm down, shouldn't I?" He said with a little gloom cloud hanging overhead of him, oh, the irony...

He blinked, her face looked funny for a moment before it disappeared. ...Wait a sec...! Could have it been a smile...? Shamu stared at her for a moment, trying to visualize her smiling... Ah, she would look so pretty smiling, such a shame she really is an ulaya... If she wasn't she'd probably smile more often. He sighed, life was not fair to anyone. His stomach grumbled and he glared at it as it reminded him of why he had left the pond in the first place, to look for another water source or a berry bush or something. That was rude... Not only did I stare at her but now... gr.

"I'm Shamu, pleasure to meet you," he bowed his head, though it was kind of weird since they had been talking for a while already. "So... you wanna swim or something?" He was still hungry, especially after that reminder, but she was a unique ulaya which he didn't come by often so it wasn't like he was wasting time or anything.
