You should totally go for the PS3...why? cause its the PS3! nuff said. Some games i would recommened are....COD4, Haze, MSG4, Rock Band, Oblivion, and Killzone2. Plus there are going to be some new features coming out soon for it. Like HOME! And tons of other good games that arent out yet that i cant remember the names to. The PS3 has up to 80Gb of memory and u can remove that and replace it with 250Gb! it also has jawsome graphics! PS3 FTW! biggrin

Hmmm...
Pro: Internet, Amazing craphics, good load time, a few exclusives, alot of acessories via PSP conection, multimedia.
Con: Looks like a Fax machine, yes FEW exclusives, a bit pricy, Bak compadability issue ("issue" as in i;m not shure there is compadability with PS2 games)
If your wanting this system for the longrun, i dont see why not.

Definiately worth buying. It is the cheapest blue ray disc player out there, along with being able to play every other kind of disc. If you were smart, you'd have snagged the first editions of PS3's which ARE backwards compatible with all PS2 games and most PS1 games...(saddness, haven't been able to get my FFVII to work... crying ...good thing I still have my PS1 and PS2 ^_^) Both Resistance games are sweet, Haze blows btw...SC4 is pretty tight and looks quite pretty. Oblivion is a must have, no matter how you get it(ps3, xbox or computer). Umm...just PM me if you need more...I have to go at the moment...

You should totally buy a PS3 biggrin , price should never be an issue when buying a system. My friend just bought a brand new PS3. It took him some time but he got it. I have had my PS3 since the day it came out and no problems at all. When it comes to games, it depends on the person. I could suggest a few games but then everyone else would say that those games are a given. MGS4, Resistance 1 and 2, Killzone 2, plus others. Thanks for reading, subdouble!

I wanted a 360 for the longest time but after seeing just about every single one of my friends' systems get the RROD and Microsoft do absolutely nothing about it, my mind was changed. I wanted a PS3 before the 360, but the price was a huge problem. But for what your getting, it's worth it. Sony is reliability. I have had my PS2 since a few years after it came out and have had not one single problem with it. It's an amazing system, just not next gen. (no wifi, etc.) Another thing on my mind was the Xbox exclusives. As bad as "No Gears Of War" Sounds, I can always play it at my friends house. The PS3 is a developing system, which means that even though the library isn't huge yet, It is rapidly growing.

So far there is no real reason NOT to buy any of the systems out there right now. The PlayStation 3 is no exception. It combines grade A graphics, a powerful build, and a simple-but-effective operating system to create a very smooth gaming environment. The downsides? Few. The biggest downsides (in my mind) are the length of the USB controller cord which comes with it, and the fact that, while it is a fully HD ready system, it does not come with an HD cable, even though it costs (costed? xD) more than the 360. Obviously, neither of these are problems if you are willing to fork out a little extra dough to get a USB cord extender or even a longer mini-USB cord (since that's all the cord is!), and an HDMI or HD component cable. Looking at E3 this year, I would say that the PS3 is going to be improving, and therefore there is no reason not to pick one up if you have the extra cash.
