His savage pacing had yet to cease though it had been a few hours since his encounter with that candy cane mockery, propelling the stallion forward in a brutal rage. Dark and heavy hooves smashed newly grown plants and twigs to bits while his spaded tail lashed to-and-fro, ripping up the dirt and sending it flying. He'd made to seclude himself deep in one of the forests within the herd's territory, craving isolation so he could stew over his pent up rage. It had taken a great deal of effort from him to not bite straight through the mare's foul, pale throat, but, through his thickened cloud of fury, Nemesis hoped his actions would bring a much more satisfying conclusion. To loom from the darkness when she least expected it, beat her senseless and truly make her understand the differences between them... yes, it would be worth all this agitation to finally watch her break. The stallion forced himself to stand still, his dark, thick form trembling. To let himself get so worked up over such a thing was disgusting. She'd managed to get underneath his skin, and he was not too proud to admit it--he simply planned to rectify it later. But... This indecision within him. This uncertainty. That mare had managed to make him look like a fool, and he loathed the feeling. He needed someone to talk to, to seek guidance from in order to prevent it from happening again. It went against the ideals that had been instilled within him as a foal, and was therefore unacceptable.
Silent now save for deep, ragged breaths, Nemesis began to shift through the forest in search for one whom he knew could aid him. His mother. If nothing else, he could at least discuss the events of what had happened--while keeping a careful ear pricked to see if she would think he had shamed their family. The thought had his lips curling back and he snapped out at nothing, the furious beginning of a grating growl droning on and on within his chest. No. To doubt himself would begin an endless spiral downward into failure, and he would not submit to it. Baleful eyes sharpened to search for his mother, Nemesis continued his aggressive search, using his all his senses to detect her.
