 The dark chocolate colored lioness let her tail hang off of a small sunning rock she had found and laid herself upon. Her head rested upon her paws as her mind wandered at what this day was to bring her. She doubted anything interesting.
Her ears flickered as soft chirping of birds hummed in her ears as a breeze blew past. She sighed heavily, was it always going to be this desolate?

 Kojo's tail flicked back and forth as he walked through the lush forest. He sighed deeply as he thought about what Nadine and Ashoka would say about him having been gone so long. He couldn't help it. He had wondered off, knowing he really shouldn't, to explore. Somehow he had ended up back at the plains. Shaking his head at his dumb mistake he sniffed the air. Familiar scents wafted through the air. One, however, was not too familiar.
Following his nose, he finally made it to the edge of the thick forest. He stretched out his front paws, weary from the long trek back to his pride's home. As he yawned, his gazed wandered up to the rocks that over looked the forest he had just emerged from. His blue eyes grew wide as a chocolate colored lioness came into his line of vision. Was this one sending off the unfamiliar scent? She seemed familiar and yet he couldn't quite place it. Had she been at the first recruit meeting? He wasn't sure but then again he was quite a nervous lion and tried not to get in the way. Sometimes that meant he didn't pay much attention to things. Letting out a huff of breath he started up the narrow path that lead to the numerous caverns of their home.

Emerald eyes peered up as a scent grew stronger, unfamiliar too her. She had been a bit of a recluse to the pride though she considered herself part of it. Her tail flicked around anxiously. She pawed at some of the grasses, she watched him as he moved closer her way and towards the caverns. She didn't say anything, she wasn't much of a conversation starter. Never was.
Her ears flicked she didn't remember seeing him ever either, maybe he was new or perhaps she was just oblivious. That was the most probable cause for Cipher.

Kojo's eyes surveyed the area as he reached the end of the narrow pathway. He smiled. Home. So glad to have a home. He still felt like an outcast though. His white fur didn't help with that either. As his eyes roamed the area they fell onto the chocolate colored lioness he'd seen before heading up here. His ears, instinctively, laid back against his head. He'd like to go talk to her, but he wasn't good with unknown lions, or any lion for that matter. It usually ended up bad once things got started. He was usually shut out or thrown out because of his strange fur color.

She didn't give him the choice to just walk by. She chuffed at him with a soft smile as her tail flicked behind her. He could still walk by, but at least she let him know that his prescence was welcome. If she didn't say hello, she would think it to be rude. She sighed softly, she didn't know what she'd say...that was an upcoming problem these days. She never knew what to say.

As Kojo was about to keep on walking, his fear getting the best of him, his eyes caught the movement of her tail and then her smile. Suddenly he felt a small smile tugging at the corners of his mouth as well. For once, someone was encouraging him to be around. Should he go over to her or just keep walking? He let out a small huff of breath, he hoped she didn't take as annoyance, and decided to head over to where she laid. "H-hello." He said sheepishly as he padded over to where she was and sat down.

"Hi." she replied back as she rolled on her side, almost in a cub like way. She was very much a child, she hadn't really grown up. She hadn't had the room to. The young lioness watched the pale male as he seemed to try and act clumsy or mess up. Odd, she tried to act casual. "Name's Cipher." she smiled softly as her eyes kept to his for the time being.

"My name's Kojo." He said as he visibly relaxed. He held back a yawn as he sat his rear down on the cool stone. He hadn't had sleep in a while and it wouldn't due to just fall asleep right after introducing himself to the lioness. He cocked his head as he watched her roll around. "When'd you join the pride?"

"Pleasure Kojo," she smiled sweetly again, it was as if there was some playful cub behind her eyes that had a childlike innocence. "I'm not really sure," she looked at him wide eyed before blinking and simply ignoring the question. She tilted her own head at him as she watched his drowsy like state. "What'd you do to be so tired?" she inquired.

Kojo rubbed his paw over his mane absentmindedly. "Uhh, well." If lions could blush he could. Something about this lion just made him want to roll around on the ground a long with her. "Well, I was lost from the pride for a bit. Didn't get much sleep. Wanted to find my way back as soon as possible." He said as he shrugged. "So Cipher, how're you liking it around here so far?" He asked her, hoping to draw out their conversation a bit longer.

She watched his movements carefully, she laughed to herself for if she had out loud in might've been considered rude. "Ah," she replied at his explanation. " 'Salright, I guess. I met up with a teen male earlier so I might be sticking with him if he's not allowed in...nice kid, he is. names Icarus." she smiled sweetly. "But I do enjoy the company of others, gets lonely when your off on your own. Its why I sympathize for the boy."

Kojo frowned as the cub was brought up. He to, felt sorry for the little one. He knew what it was like to be alone as a cub and it wasn't fun. "He's lucky to have you." Kojo said as he smiled a bit. Memories from his past started popping into his mind. He didn't want to see another young cub go through what he went through. It just wasn't right. Kojo would never, basically, throw away a cub of his own. He sighed a bit and shook his head. Some lions were just too head strong for their own good.

She smiled and laughed with an almost angelic tone, "No, I'm lucky to have him, he teaches me new things every day. It's like an exchange." she smiled at some of the things Icarus had pulled off, his little shananagins. She looked at Kojo and had saw the expression on his face that marked undoubtledy some sort of pain, she hesitated whether to bring it up. "Whats wrong?"

Kojo took in a deep breath and let it out slowly. "I'm just frustrated by how pig headed some lions are now-a-days." He shook his head again, wishing he could just make everyone understand that it didin't matter how you looked. That it wasn't bad luck to be different. He shrugged a bit and continued. "I know for a fact that the pride leaders aren't like that though." Kojo motioned to his own fur. "After all, they accepted me and I stick out like a sore thumb." He laughed gently and smiled at Cipher.

"How do you stick out like a sore thumb?" she asked with her light pink tongue slightly hanging out. She was perhaps one of the most care free ones she had ever known. Her green eyes watched him softly, "I don't think you stick out more than me." she smiled.
