hey all i was wondering if any one else here plays country music or sings it. I pay it on Guitar. Its a blue grass Country Mixed with cape breton style music. its more a demented versoin of Johnny Cash's Boom Chuchk a boom style. Its really interesting and fun to pay.
I also write out my own songs but they never really get to far from beyond my head.
So what all do the rest of you play or sing?

I play the contemporary songs on my guitar. I attempt to sing while playing but I end up missing chords or missing a verse. So if I am playing, I don't sing and vise versa.
I don't really write songs. I have great hooks for lyrics, but I can never put music to it.

I play piano (it's never a good idea to sing and play at the same time. Unless you're super talented, like Brad Paisley).
I prefer to play contemperary, but my teacher is making me do a little classical. I'm writing a song, and it started out good, but now I'm bored and just doing whatever I want and writing it down. I wonder how well it will flow when I'm done.
Right now I'm playing Coldplay, but I have a Faith Hill music book and I just bought a Taylor Swift music book. I'M SO PSYCHED! I've always wanted to play "Tim McGraw"!!! smile

The rest is just playing by ear and stuff.

I sing mostly, I've been trying my hand at the guitar and piano, and fail with flying colors. For the life of me I can't read notes! My friends tell me that I can hit almost all singers I've heard (Brad Paisley included xd 3nodding ), except for Johnny Cash, it is utterly impossible for me to go that low in most of his songs. I'm pretty good at Ring of Fire though. xd

I sing and play guitar. I'm not very good at guitar just yet, I'm still learning. I also have been writing songs since I was 8. Songs I'm very good at.
