Okay, so I just got finished with reading the book Savvy by Ingrid Law. Has anyone ever heard of it? It has the absolute COOLEST characters ever. OMG, Fish is now my new favorite character of all time. He even beats out Dumbledore from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and Trash from True Talents. Not even joking, this kid is like a hurricane in a jar or something.
P.S. this book just came out this year (possibly even this month) so don't feel bad if you didn't read it yet. But I would seriously recommend this book to anyone that like fantasy (with a touch of destiny).

I'm moving this to the Fantasy subforum. I haven't heard of it, but it sounds interesting. What exactly is it about?

Its about a 350 pages of pure awesomeness. Seriously, its about a small family in Nebransas-Kansaka (I'll explain in n a second) where each person in the family gets a savvy - a special talent - when they turn 13. The main character is just turning thirteen when the book opens (her name is Mississippi, Mibs for short) and her brother, Fish, is 14 and causes hurricanes. Her other brother Rocket is 17 and creates electricity wherever he goes. And for the kicker, her uncle can move mountains. Literally. He even created the place where they live now, which is right between Nebraska and Kansas.

Yeah, Fish was the best character in the book, I don't really know why I read it three times. The first Time I was so hiped up I didn't realize how fake it was, even for a fantasy. Her family loves her alot, day before 13th birthday her dad gets caught in a car pileup on the way home. Mibs wants to go with her Mom and older brother, but is told to stay for some reason. Pastor's wife comes and takes care of them she is too dense to hear that Mibs doesn't want it. This girl is too chicken to stand up to anybody! She might as well be the bus driver! But unlike him, she can't even stand up to insecure 13 year olds for what she believes in! No one in her familly execpt Rocket can! They're all spineless. She didn't think threw her plan, and I'm very surprised her brother didn't kill/ attack her when the bus started going north instead of south!
