COMMENTS WELCOMED!!

So since last fall started me and my horse Rex have really started to have trouble with our canter. Mostly the right lead.
Well, all winter I put it off, and sadly his right lead got even worse.
AND he got a attitude every time we readied for the canter, anticipated T.T
Which then, gave me a new found fear or cantering, expecially going the whole way around the ring, and cantering the right lead.
See with my horse, he spooks at NEARLY EVERYTHING, and the winter only makes it worse...

Well, now that its spring, and its beautiful and warm, Rex has calmed down and i've finally gotten back into practicing the canter, and my riding instructor is helping me in lessons. Bending, slowing, and lots of other help.
Well, today my lesson was cancled due to a appointment that my instructor had to go to. So I hesitated whether to ride or not,... seeing as I feel more comfortable when someone is in the indoor ring with me, expecially my stable owner.

So, I got ready, and took my time tacking up. Finally I got out there, and thanked the lord that the outdoor ring was occupied by a mare and her foal. I walked around and took more time XD
Got on, and went to the right, knowing that I wanted to warm up on his difficult side.
And Im glad I did, he never spooked, except for at some stupid birds... [I HATE pidgeons crying ]. Well I trotted, walked for some time, then trotted a short time again. THEN I went on cantering, talking to him the whole time, which i've realized that I calm him down and keep his attention when I have my own little conversation with him.. XD which is getting to be a habit haha

The canter went GREAT, better then he had ever gone, he was choppy, and would vear off in some parts; i had some trouble sitting >.<. But it was so much better then last year.... so happy. AND i went the WHOLE RING AROUND WOOOO! XD

I did the same exact thing on the left side, which is my good side smile
Cantered the whole ring as well YES!!!
So happpeh!
I was so happeh i started singing my chorus songs haha XD
I do that when really comfortable.... and being comfortable on my horse Rex, who is a saddlebred and his attention is always on EVERYTHING around him.. can be so...so so very hard.

YES I AM SO HAPPY WITH MYSELF!!!
I told my instructor what happened and she was very proud of me, so I have to show her it all next Tuesday hehe
