I went to the Shadowmoor release.

I sat down at my table and, after getting the ok to begin deck constructing, I opened my tournament pack.

I pulled out my rares first, as I usually do. The first rare I pulled away was a Vexing Shusher.

Nice!, I thought.

Rare #2 was a Fire-lit Thicket. I didn't have time to get excited over that one because my breath caught as I peeled back my third rare:

Demigod of Revenge. It doesn't stop there though. My first booster held a Mass Calcify. That didn't exactly thrill me, but my second booster held another Demigod. It was almost like Wizards was trying to build my deck for me. Unfortunately, all my best support cards were UW and GW. The guy at the table behind me pulled 2x Tyrranize and 2x Godhead of Awe(ful) and a Prismatic Omen to fix his mana.

We cut to the top 8 to draft. My first opponent had drafted both the GW liege and the UW liege. Someone else drafted a foil Fulminator Mage.
