I couldn't believe it when I heard it, but it's true!
The California Supreme Court just struck down the gay marriage ban, also declaring that a persons ability to raise a child in a loving environment is not in any way related to their sexuality!

I found out about this the day of Senior Picnic. It's really exciting, but there's a ballot measure to reverse the decision by amending the state constitution.

Uhg, this is no fair. They should just leave gay marriage legal. =_= Besides, we're "The Land Of The Free", aren't we?

I think California will keep it legal. They're one of the most progressive states we have. I'm jealous of my best friend who lives there, while I'm stuck in ******** Tennessee.

I heard it and I was very happy too... Perhaps this is a dawn of a gigantic movement!!!! Pretty soon, everyone else will get rid of the gay marriage ban!!
It will have to go from the west coast onto the east, so I don't expect Texas to follow the trend anytime soon... It took Texas forever just to raise the drinking limit from 18 to 21.. and other nationwide laws like driving age...
stare Texas is slow as ******** and is so.....
bah....

Everyone thought Massachusets would start a trend when gay marriage was legalized there, but instead a whole rash of states passed bans. And we had same-sex marriages here once before, a couple of years ago in San Francisco, but that didn't last...
I hate to be a downer, but it's hard not to be cynical.
