Ok i have been studying wicca for about 4 months or so and even when i began studying i found a picture of Cernunnos and i really felt a connectionto him the moment i saw him. Well as of late my girlfreind's mother has died, she had to move back to Puerto Rico becuase of it ,my dog got hit by a car, and my grandfather was diagnosed with lung cancer... so i feel like s**t icon_gonk.gif
well i try to ground and release everynight, and once with out even thinking about almost like blurtting it out i ask cernunnus how all these events are affecting me.........well...........
i suddenly felt like i was in a big feild with white light all around and i saw myself sitting face to face with Him!
Cernunnus! Well he told me that these events are natural and even though they are happening so closely that i should not lose hope....well he got half way through with saying that becuase it was about 11 oclock at night and my mom walked and told me to go to sleep..which pretty much broke my concentration, when i laied down an started to fall asleep (about 15 mins later) i envisioned myself in that place again and we finished our conversation and before he left he said he was going to do this once until after i finish the training i am putting myself through (i am not planning to join a coven but i am makeing myself study for a year and a day so i will know as much as i can)
so i am just asking for anyone who has a good amount knowledge about the gods and contacting them to help dermine if it is just my wishful thinking (i have been hopeing to talk to him for a while) or an actual vision?

So this was during meditation?
I say to trust your feelings in situations like this. If you sensed him with you, I do not doubt that it was him. I've had no small number of similar experiences. The beautiful part about Paganism is that one contacts the deities oneself. Yes, this often includes such experiences, in meditation and prayer and otherwise. As we build our connection to and relationship with our deities, the more we feel them in our lives.
But I will ask you something, and it's more about your interpretation of deity than anything else. When you speak of Cernunnos, are you speaking of the specific, individual Celtic god? or are you using the name to refer to the Wiccan Horned God? (Or again, are you a "soft polytheist" who believes all gods are one God and thus the God might appear in any guise?)

(Or again, are you a "soft polytheist" who believes all gods are one God and thus the God might appear in any guise?) thank you both for helping me 3nodding and to answer what you asked Sanguina-chan i do beleive all gods are aspects of the wiccan god as well as all godesses aer aspect of the wiccan goddessess but i do veleive my patron god is Cernnunous and i am personally still tryint to find my patron goddesses (i think it is either Hecate, aphrodite , or Ceredwin)

oh, yes, im sure it was NOT just wishfull thinking. that seems exactly the kind of way that a god/goddess would be revealed.

I'm going to have to agree with everyone here. This was defiantly a visit from Cernunnus smile congratulations! Like a few here I have had a similar experience.
