Ren slowly walked down the road, viewing the town just up ahead. She knew if she kept heading south, she’d eventually find a safe town. It was nice to finally escape Dasgar Valley without harm. In this town, it looked like the crops were being planted, so it would be easy to find work.
She wandered the streets, looking for someone who would be interested in hiring her for just a little while. She wasn’t having too much luck. No one needed help in taverns or in the fields, not even the venders. She stopped at a small restaurant and found a small corner in it to sit at by herself. She fished in her bag in search of money. She only had two coins left. She sighed and set them on the table. When the waitress asked for her order, she simply replied “Whatever I can afford with this that is sweet.” The waitress looked at her weird before leaving to get her something sweet and affordable.
Ren slumped in her chair and sighed. She was exhausted and wasn’t sure where she’d find sleep for the night with no money in her pocket. She glanced down at her bag. She slowly opened it once more and removed an object. A sphere container, her soul case. It had transformed on her when she was sleeping and she had no idea what to with it. She wished that lady who had given it to her would have given her more details or at least an instruction manual. She studied it closely, lifting it close to her face. She really hadn’t taken the time to look at it since it changed “Hey.” She said, feeling sort of crazy for speaking to the object. “Can you give me a sign or something? This isn’t easy you know.” She set it on the table and shook her head. Now she knew she was crazy.

Mizu smiled as she watched her small charge, Elidyr, devour the rest of his meal. As always, the two of them had gone on one of their adventures, meaning wandering about in search of interesting things. Aside from an odd looking stick they found earlier, this little resturant...or cafe...or whatever it was, was about the most interesting thing they could find. A mysitical sphere from acrossed the room caught the blue headed woman's eye, so she gave her new son of sorts a few coins and told him to pay the nice lady when she came back, and then to come over to meet her. Then she crossed the room.
She just caught word of the young lady wishing for a sign, and gave sort of a smile.
"What kind of sign would you like? I know a little jig...Oh! Or would you preffer a poem?" she quieried with a laugh. "Nice little soul case you have there," she then commented.

Ren jumped at the sounds of the woman’s voice. She quickly grabbed the case, thinking someone was trying to take it. She gulped and looked up at the woman. “Soul case?” She said in disbelief that anyone else knew what it was. “So you really know what this is?” She looked at the case again and sighed. “Thank you.” She whispered to it.
She brought her attention back to the woman. “Do you have one?... I guess that’s kind of rude of me to ask. It’s just... I haven’t met anyone who has or even knows what this is. No one can tell me what to do with this soul case.” She rubbed the back of her neck and gently set it back on the table.

Mizu peeked at the case once more. Looked somewhat like hers did after she caught her soul. Interesting... She then looked at the younger female once more.
"Well, I used to have one, but now I have what it's used to make instead," she commented as her eyes shifted back. Eli was paying the waitress for the meal. Good. That meant he'd be coming over soon.
"My name is Mizu by the way," she said with a smile.

Ren looked at her weird, not really sure what she meant. She reached her hand out and shook her hand. “You can call me Ren... Um, you can take a seat if you want.”
A waitress came over and set a thin sliver of a pie down. Ren looked at it in disappointment. She sighed and poked at it with her fork. She was hoping for at least a bigger piece. She handed the waitress her last amount of money. She took a big bite of the pie quickly. “Sorry. I haven’t eaten in a long time.” She glanced at her soul case. “Do I have to feed this too?”

Mizu sat down and looked at her somewhat sadly. "I have a few coins I can spare. You want anything else?" she asked, then sighed. What was Miss Starchild thinking, giving this to a girl who could barely feed herself... "And..." she started.
"Hi MizuMom~" chirped a now well fed Elidyr, as if coming in right on cue. His metal wings flexed as he smiled at the new person. "Hiya there ma'am! I'm Elidyr and..." he stopped, looking for a moment. "Oh neat! You have a soul case. I came from a soul case too!"
"...yeah...sooner or later it will need to be fed. " Mizu said, compleating her statement

Ren looked at her in embarrassment. “No. I couldn’t. It wouldn’t feel right unless I worked for it.” She laughed, nervously. “I’m just in a rut right now. Nobody these days needs help with work.”
Her eyes widen at the sight of Elidyr. “A kid?” She squeaked and looked away in embarrassment. She gulped and looked apologetically at Mizu. “Sorry... I didn’t mean to be rude. It’s just a big surprise to me.” She took another bite of her pie, trying to distract herself. “It’s just so unbelievable. That this could turn into this.” She pointed to her soul case then at Elidyr.

"That's Miss Starchild for you..." Mizu said with a sigh. "She apparently has put research into these beings, though I really don't know much else..." She then laughed. "Oh, it's not rude at all. Honestly I was surprised as well, but then again I got a note before hand saying that it would turn into a kid. Better that you know now then when she randomly pops up and makes the kid for you, yes?" She then sighed and paused for a few moments, thinking.
"Yup!" Eli chirped again, puffing his chest. "I was made with the soul case and a talisman aaaaand..." he paused a moment. "a brass gear! That's right!" He then poked Ren's soul case rather quickly. "Looks like its full! You know what's inside it?" he asked
"You know...I do have a spare room at my place...you know, until you can find something to get you off your feet. It's awefully big...a client made it for me...I honestly need some help keeping up after it...Though it's just a thought..."

Ren looked at Elidyr and shrugged. “Well...” She paused and went back into her bag. She pulled out a cell phone and a talisman. “These also came with it.” She set them on the table. “And in this... I thought was the soul of a kirin, but now I’m wondering what else is really in it.” She lifted the soul case, and then looked at Mizu.
“Really? That would be wonderful... I mean, I don’t want to intrude but if you’re offering. It’ll only be for a short while, till I’m able to get some cash. I tend to not to stay in one place for very long. If you don’t mind, it’ll be... just so helpful for me.” She looked down. “Once I get a job, I’ll even pay rent for the room.

"Of course it's alright. Everyone goes through rough patches after all. There's also a market place somewhat close to where I live. I bet you can find employment there. It wouldn't hurt to try anyway," Mizu said.
"Kirin? What's a Kirin?" Eli asked as he looked at the phone again. He wanted to take it apart to see how it worked, but this was going to be used to make another person, so he desided not to mess with it.

“Thank you. Thank you so much.” Ren said, bowing her head in thanks. She turned and looked at Eli. She gave a small smile. “Well... it’s like a dragon and a unicorn in one, an Asian chimera. It’s a rare mythical beast. After a long story filled with danger, I ended up running into one. It sort of save my life.” She rubbed her arm, not feeling like recalling the events that happened.

"That's really neat~" Elidyr commented with a grin. "The soul in my soul case was a gold dragon," he said, shifting his goggles a bit as they were beggining to slide down. "That's what Mizu says anyway. I don't really know myself..."
"You are quite welcome. It'll be nice to have more people around, if only for a little bit," Mizu said.

Ren finished her pie and gave a small smile at the two. “I really am grateful.” She said, slowly placing her items back into her bag. She gently placed the soul casein it too. “So... do you leave nearby?” She asked gently. “If not, it might be best if we leave soon. It’ll be dark in no time.”

"Yes, it might be best if we head out now. My home is a slight distance away..." Mizu stated as she stood up, smiling again. "I apologize in advance if the room is quite...bland. I really have no one to fill it, so I haven't done much in the way of decorating..."

Ren slowly stood up. “It really won’t be a problem. I’m just happy to have a bed. Sleeping in the streets isn’t so fun, though the forest is quiet nice at night as long as you avoid wild animals.” She picked up her bag and followed the two. “Thank you again. There’s not many people other there that would be willing to welcome a complete stranger into their home.”
