3 years after Sora and Riku defeated Xemnas, the heartless, the nobodies and Organization Xlll return. It picks up where KH2 left off.

[lol no problem. no one should have the energy to read at that hour lol. hmm... i guess we could start]
Axel, who came back after being revived by a mysterious stranger, paced the allies of Twilight Town, searching for Roxas. "He has to be around here somewhere..." he mumbled to himself, looking around the corner. He continued walking for awhile, and he finally came to the Twilight Town Train Station. "Ah, there he is," he said to himself, spotting a little figure on the ledge of the giant clock tower. He made his way up there, but when he got to the top, he was surprised to find that a girl as sitting up there. "Oh... You're not Roxas," he said with a sheepish smile.
The girl, Hikari, turned around to see a boy with flaming red hair smiling at her. There was something so familiar about him, but she couldn't put her finger on it. "No, I'm not. I'm Kari," she said with a sheepish smile of her own. "Would you like to sit down, though?"
Axel sat down next to Kari, smiling a genuine smile now. "Thank you. I'm Axel," he said, sticking out his hand for her to shake.
"Nice to meet you," she said, shaking his hand. They both stared out into the everlasting sunset. "You know, this is the best view you can get," she said, trying to make conversation.

Roxas eagerly paced his room, trying to figure out how the hell he was his own self again. "There is no way I'm my own person! I'm a Nobody! I should still be in Sora!" he yelled, frustrated. He threw his Organization cloak on his bed. "Wait..." he stopped in mid stride. "I'm my own person..." His thoughts instantly shifted to Kari, his friend from school when he was in the computer generated Twilight Town. "I wonder if she's here..." he muttered to himself, flopping down on his bed.

Axel felt is face get warm at the sight of Hikari smiling at him. "Well, it is beautiful, and I should know. Roxas and I used to hang out up here all the time. We ate sea salt ice cream," he said, smiling. He ran his slender fingers through his brilliant red hair. "I wonder where he is..." he muttered to himself.
"Who's Roxas?" she asked. The name tugged at memories in her mind, but she couldn't figure out who he was.
"Oh, erm, friend of mine," he said, not meeting her gaze.
"Oh... the name just seems familiar," she said, her voice carrying off with the wind.

Kari... he thought in his mind, fond memories entering his mind. She was his best friend, next to Axel... but she wouldn't remember that... her memory had been wiped clean after the computer generated Twilight Town was taken offline. He ran his fingers through his blonde hair, his striking laser blue eyes scanning the room for her picture. Then... he found it. It hung lo on the north wall. He could tell, even from that distance, that her eyes were warm and friendly... He got up out of bed and walked over to it, gingerly stroking the frame. "Kari... I can't believe it's been three years without you... it seems like a whole other life..." Had it even been real? That picture was the only thing that proved it... He missed her terribly, and now his heart ached for her.

"So, Axel, may I ask why you're looking for this 'Roxas' guy?" Lex asked him after a long silence.
He chose his next words carefully. "He and I were best friends, and I haven't seen him in, oh, three years or so, and I was hoping I'd find him up here, but I found you, which is just as good," he said, smiling. What was he saying? He had already known Kari... Memories of the Organization flooded his mind.

Her face fell. "Oh... well I don't remember much about the past... It seems like my memory has been wiped out or something," she joked.
Axel smiled warily. "Yea, memory wiped out... yeah. Funny," he said sheepishly, hoping she wouldn't notice the effort he had to put into his words.

"Kari..." he mumbled out loud again. He crossed his room to his closet, throwing on his old clothes from his Twilight Town days. He needed to get his mind off of Kari. "I know, I'll go to the clock tower!" he exclaimed to himself, eagerly racing out the door.
