(( Can't think of a name.. and my post sucks >.< ))  Mandy peers into a small river infront of her and lifts her wings to see them. Every time she came near water she would look at her wings, They reminded her of her father. Sighing a little she dips her head to take a drink.
Finishing her short drink she watches a fish that dared to come close to her and snatched it out of the water to eat it. Happy with her fish she sits back and looks around.

Kyukon walked along a rivers edge, her large paws hitting the soft ground with a dull thud. She smiled softly for the river reminded her of Kimmi. They used to walk along the rivers and play in the shallows.
Her eyes looking at the ground she didnt even notive the dragonfly enjoying a fish across the river from her. She jumped into the river creating a large splash and swam to the other end while still underneath the water.

Mandy jumped a little when she heard a splash and turns to watch what it was. All she really saw was red and yellow. Carefully watching she made out that it was most likely an elder because of the size. Going back to her fish she keeps an eye on what made the splash.

Kyukon's head broke through the surface of the water sending a large spray of water in all directions. She shook her and neck removing the water from her muzzle and eyes. Her tails were touching the bottom and keeping her afloat so there was no need to tread water.
The cool water had felt good and had given her a chance to clear her head of depressing thoughts. She opened her eyes and blinked a few times finding that she was staring at another dragonfly right in front of her. She wondered why she hadn't noticed her before and then smiled at her lack of attention span while she was thinking of kimmi. She was a terrible elder.
She stopped looking like a deer in the headlights and decided to introduce herself. "Hello. I'm sorry I didn't notice you before, I am kyukon. I didn't get you wet did I?"

Mandy watched as the shape in the water came closer to her but she didn't more back. Still eating her fish she just watched. When the other dragonfly came up she saw that it was indeed an elder and smiled a little.
There was a good few moments that they just stared at each other. Mandy was not sure what she should say to the elder and still had some fish in her mouth. Smiling softly when the elder introduced herself she shakes her head. "No you didn't get me wet at all." To be honest she did get a little wet but water never hurt her. "Pleased to met you elder Kyukon. My name is Mandy." She bowed her head.

"I hope you'll forgive my vacant mind and expression. I have been alone most of my life and I can get a little lost in my thoughts." She pushed up with her tails and launched herself out of the river on to the bank. She walked a few feet away as to not get the young lady wet when she shook off. She began to shake and and the wave of motion went from the tip pf her nose to the tips of her tails. Her tails then took it upon themselves to poof out and become outrageously fluffy. She sighed and walked back to Mandy laying down beside her. "You know, I think your the first dragonfly I have come by that has addressed me as elder." she chuckled."It makes me a little ashamed at my lack of "elder" qualities."

Mandy watched the elder step away to get dry then return. "There is no need to ask for forgiveness, each dragonfly has there own characteristic." Smiled and shifted a little and looked away. "Well it is always a good thing to respect an elder. But if me calling you elder makes you uncomfortable then I will stop." She bowed her head for a moment.

Kyukon chuckled and almost snorted a little. This was such a polite dragonfly. Her parents must have been a little uptight. "Well maybe being addressed as such will make me act like a true elder."
Kyu fanned her tails out and waved them slowly in an effort to dry them in the wind. It was then while she was looking at her tails that she noticed Mandy's wings. They were unlike any she had ever seen before. She liked them. "Your wings are lovely Mandy. Do they work any better than these lost causes." She flapped her flimsy wings and smirked a little remembering the days when she had tried to fly.

Mandy smiled and shook her head. "No matter how you act, you are still an elder. You can act like a elder that has lost it's mind at some time. Or an elder that still wants to be young." She nodded to that and went to thinking for a moment. Her ears flickered at the question about her wings. Lifting them up so they were more visible she sighs. "I wish they helped me fly or something. If I want to fly I have to go and find my father so he can carry me."

Kyu smiled softly and flapped her wings harder smirking again. "When I was young, besides acidentally setting fire to the forrest.."she chucked a bit then continued. "I used to find the highest hills and try to fly off of them. I think I might have even tried once as an elder. I thought maybe with my new power i would be able to fly." She chuckled more and looked up at the clouds drifting in the sky. "You are very lucky though...I have never heard of a flying dragonfly. It must be amazing to fly."

Mandy lets her eyes fall. "Well I only met my father when I was a teen and he took me flying about two times. Then he disappeared a little after I became an adult." She sighed and let her wings fall as well. "But I loved it."

Kyukon saw the sad change in Mandy and she smiled softly at her."You know..I never met my family. I was practically alone my entire life besides one friend during a few seasons when i was a pup. It seems to me...that your father wasn't necessarily the daddy type. You should consider your self lucky to have met him and had the chance to fly. You shall always have those memories with you."

Mandy nods and shifts a little at what the elder said. "Yes I know but I wish he would come back..." Moving her wings she pushed the thoughts about her father away and smiled. "Just how many tails do you have?" She peered at the elders tails.

Kyucon raised an eyebrow at the topic change but waved her tails around none the less."I have nine tails. They come quite in handy to, though on occasion i have gotten one stuck under a rock or snagged on a branch." she chuckled again. "When i was younger i tried to use my tails as a rudder in my flight excursions....lets just say that didn't work to well."

Mandy laughed at that thought. "Well I really like your tails. They seem to make you more of an elder." She shifted a little. "How many elder have you met?" She was not sure why she asked this but turned her head in question.
