Oh good freaky holy almighty, how have you guys gone on so long without reading it? It's literally the best manga in the Weekly Jump lately. XoX;; Lemme see here, I might have to spoil part of the first volume to gain some attention to the series since the summary is beyond vague. ;-;

D.Gray-man is set in a fictional ending 19th century, were Akuma (man slaughtering machines made of dark matter) exist, and the relatives of the Noah clan control them, along with the Thousand Year Duke.
The propaganda character, Allen Walker; is an Exorcist. Exorcists have anti-akuma weapons made from light matter, and it comes in two known forms- Parasite and Equipment type. Parasite types have light matter (AKA innocence) possessing part of their body, while Equipment type have theirs in a form of a weapon. Allen is a parasite type. [Yup. I personally hate myself for giving such details, but it is for interest. ;-;]
The series has a lot of tragic but completely badass fights.

The propaganda character is also cursed- from an akuma. How? Read the series. It starts off pretty slow, the series does~ but after a few volumes it moves fast and becomes a dark enigma.
The series is creepy, in a way; but you either get use to it or you're like I and have read darker things.

It has nine manga volumes currently released in the US, and a prequal noval titled Reverse that's about all the characters. [I wish I could find Reverse. ;-;]
