Sam continued his walk, noticing a cafe ahead of him. The Rosebud, he had been told that it had good food. When he was closer to the cafe he noticed that it was closed. He sighed, and was walking past it when a man walked out of the cafe, running into Sam.
~~~~~
Jacob walked out into the street, adjusting his hat when he ran into someone. "My apologies." Jacob said looking up at the man. He tried not to act surprised when he noticed that it was a fuzz, but jumped at the sight of Sam. "... Jake?" Sam asked, obviously stunned himself. Before Sam could say anything else, Jacob took off running down some alleys. "Hey, get back here!" Sam tore after him, the only thing he focused on was catching Jacob.
Johnny was in an alley way when he heard the chasing footsteps. Interested he jogged about in his quieter shoes, the 'special' guitar case in hand. Catching up via the alleyways he knew so well, he caught sight of Jacob and Sam and kept in the shadows. "To help or not to help?" he paused briefly, weighing circumstances, "Rival or not, same syndicate...." he sighed. Opening the guitar case he pulled out a Tommy, firing a few shots at a nearby trash can, hoping to draw the cop's attention away.
Annabelle pedaled her way back to the bakery, taking her time without needing to be back immediately. Just as she had thought the families had purchased every last one of her loaves. Turning another corner, she decided to swing by the dance studio where Maria Cortez worked. Maria was one of her most devout patrons, visiting back almost every morning.
Sam was distracted by the shots and looked over his shoulder, drawing out his weapon. He stopped, looked around but saw nothing. He looked in the direction he was running, and saw that Jacob was gone. "Dammit..." He muttered. He holstered his weapon and walked out of the alley. "Jake, you b*****d... You owe someone a big favor." In an attempt to cool off his temper, Sam walked off down the street.
~~~~~
Jake heard the shots, but didn't stop. He was sure his savior would find him. While Sam was distracted Jake ran out into the street, then darted quickly into another alley to catch his breath. He took off his hat and swept off his brow with the back off his hand.

Johnny put away his tommy, back into it's case. Then moving through the alleyways via fire escapes he found Jacob. "Well well well...maybe those shots were wasted..." he said tauntingly.

Jacob held back his curses when Johnny spoke. "What do you want?" He tried to keep the bitterness out of his voice, but didn't succeed.

Johnny shook his head, "Tsk tsk tsk...Is that any way to speak to the guy who just got the fuzz off your back?" He jumped down off the fire escape, landing gracefully next to Jacob. He gave the boy a sharp evil smile.

Jacob gave Johnny a cold stare before speaking. "Thank you for covering my back, but I could have handled it." He paused to think of how to word what he was going to say. "But seeing that you felt like being a 'good citizen' I'll pay the favor I owe. Now, what do you want?" He said the last sentence with emphasis that showed he had other places to be.

Johnny took extra time to think on what he wanted, teasing Jacob by stalling with this, "Let's just say you owe me a favor Jacob. A big Favor...I'll find you when I need it..." he walked off, heading nowhere.

Jacob watched Johnny walk away, resisting the urge to tackle him. When he was out of sight, Jacob walked in the opposite direction, fuming. He hated being in someone's debt, so being in Johnny's debt tore Jacob apart.

Sam stormed through the streets for a while before he realized that he could go back to the station. He would put Jacob out of his mind and enjoy the rest of his day.
~~~~~
Jacob walked through alleys, looking his shoulder every few minutes. He didn't want to risk running into Sam again. After a while of walking around, he figured he would visit some members of his syndacate.
Katya, walking past the various restaurants and boutiques, contemplated why exactly she was going to speak with Lisel. In truth, she didn't like the woman but everyone knew if you had a question, Lisel has at least 1answer for you, plus all the background information. Actually, Katya was quite inpatient for this meeting to be over for she had a class in the afternoon she wanted to arrive early for.
Genevieve walked on the sidewalk outside the Rosebud. She would do this at least once a week during lunch, which was Rosebud's busiest time of day. She would hide among the crowd, always careful to be away from the windows. The reason she did this was because she wanted to be one of the first ones to know when the place got closed down. If the place closed down, that meant that the Diamonds would probably struggle, which meant a great opportunity for the Hearts. Genevieve knew this was wishful thinking, but today she actually had a reason to walk past.
At last Katya stood in front of the coffee shop she and Lisel had decided to meet at. The place was her choice, Madame Goulet's, it was called. Making her way inside she found a table in front of the window and ordered as small cup of black coffee.
Rouge skipped rooftop to roof top, the roofs close together in most parts. Occasionally she'd come to an alleyway where she'd have to skip onto the fire escapes, making a large racket as she did so, but she was quick enough to avoid being spotted.
