I'm going to school for graphic design/marketing - I mainly want to do graphics for major entertainment companies (mostly concert related) or small local businesses I have respect for. I'd also like to help with actually putting these events together. I've been interning for newspapers, and hopefully radio this summer.
If I have the time, I'd also like to major in English and become an English college professor.

I'm going to a junior college in the fall to get my general studies and basic courses out of the way because I got a scholarship to go for free, but after that I plan on going to a university to be a film major if all goes well.

I don't go to college for another year and a half...
But, I'm thinking about majoring in Music Theory or something of that nature. So, even if I don't get a band that's successful, I'll at least be able to do something in the record industry.

NinjaLifer I've been going to college for a very long time and I still dunno what type of degree I want. I've been going to college off an on longer than a lot of the people on this site have been alive, I've had 5 or 6 different majors (ranging from Fine Arts to Computer Engineering), enough credit hours for at least 2 separate degrees, but I never graduated and don't have a degree yet. lol

College level music theory is a pain in the a**, unless you've done music theory for a while. I'm taking it for the fourth time and I still don't understand it. It might help if I mention I am slow and need disability office help. I'm majoring in teaching high school band and I want to open a record shop.

i wouldn't be able to touch music theory with a thirty foot pole... i'm music retarded. i just like listening to it and imagining myself in a band doing covers.... even though im too musically retarded to learn an actual instrument.
more power to you for getting into that s**t and still going at it. it sounds tough. ******** visual arts.... what a joke, i feel like a lazy a** every time i remember im an art student.

I don't plan on doing just one thing, I'll play it by ear. I'd love to work with bands, but I'd also love to work with composition. Who knows where music will take me. So ya, thats why I'm double majoring.
