History: Tsurugi has a very bloody past. It was not his intent, however. Before the event that changed everything, the event Tsurugi refers to as his "awakening", he had had a very typical childhood. A good relationship with both his mother and father, no siblings. He had not been able to know his parents for very long, though. It had all happened one extremely silent night whilst his parents were out. They had been off hunting, and he had been left home in his parent's cave. This was the first time that his parents had entrusted him to be left alone since his birth, so he had been eager to prove his independence. They left at nearly dusk, assuring him that they would be back within the hour. They never returned. A day and a half went by, no sound of his parents, when the forest keeper, Drachus, discovered Tsurugi alone and in bad condition in his cave and brought him to Ber. Ber took care of Tsurugi for a few years until he grew strong enough to fend for himself. At this point in time, Tsurugi had come to the conclusion that something terrible must have befallen his parents, for they had loved him dearly and would have never abandoned him. So, with a thanks to Ber, he set off to finally discover what had happened to his parents, and take vengeance on whomever or whatever had been the cause of his and his parent's separation and probable untimely death. He refers to the night of their separation as his "awakening" because he feels like he "awoke" from a dream to the cruel and real world.

History: Coming from a large litter, Liduen always felt that his sisters seemed strange. Always doing what their mother said, and never wanting to participate in anything fun. Liduen had once compared them to the trees in the forest. Standing around waiting for something to happen, never wanting to be the ones to cause it. His mother always felt that he was nothing but a hassle, wishing so often that the last pup of her litter had been a female. Liduen had never known his father, which made him the only male in his family. This never helped the fact that he always felt like the odd one out. When the time came for him to leave his family pack and set off on his own, he never gave a single glance back, which was a good thing for him, because nobody had been waving him goodbye. Since then, Liduen has been traveling the forest of Di'jai, never quite settling down in one place for too long. He is now finally experiencing the freedom that he had been deprived of as a child.
