Appearently, there is a tide of anti-banana people around here. So as a matter of curiosity, how many of you aren't fond of the yellow devils?

I cannot sttaannnndddd them. I hate them alone, or mixed in anything so sick! Oddly enough when I was little I loved the "banana medicine" Aka: Amoxicillin. Yet hated bananas.

Hehe I hate raisins when they are "mixed" in things, but like them alone. I refer to my hatred as "surprise raisins" I can't stand that. I don't like having "surprise" things in my food if it's bread they shouldn't be anything squishy or mushy in it, like Fruit Bread uggghhh. Or Butter tarts and you get something squishy...that's fall under "surprise raisin" Banana bread falls into the mushy part. So gross.

But they make a great thrown weapon. Kind of like a poor man's boomarang. Except it doesn't come back to you...

Sorry friends, I stand in staunch support of bananas. BUT I don't like them when they get spots, I prefer them firm, nicely yellow, with maybe a tinge of green at the base.
(and I'm told I make great banana bread ... but stopped putting raisins in it long ago *grin*)
I think the only food that is a real problem for me is runny egg whites; although I have to say that the last time I tried liver, it set off a gag reflex that I didn't expect!
