RVB quotes aside, I've been wondering what it would be like to run an internet text RP like a D&D game, with a Game moderator for the whole thing who sends ideas and what he deems acceptable challenges, with some rules laid down beforehand, and was wondering if it would be cool to test it out here. I need some place small to test it first, because I'm not on everyday and very simply can't be; I work and go to school and all that jazz.
Anyone willing to try?

Go ahead and try it, I'm not going to stop you. I can't really help you out with that though seeing as I have never played any sort of table top game, and never have really had the desire to either. Of course I have seen rps that have done that kind of set up before and it seems to have worked out for them.

Forever Orange pimpmytoaster123 even though i have never played D&D before, I think it would be interesting with a little bit of instruction. =)) I agree with Toast, as long as someone was telling me what it was exactly that I was doing I might go for something like that. ahaha...toast...

Sounds like a great idea (since I've seen it played IRL and it looks fun), but like what most people say, I'd need instruction too sweatdrop

Thought this might pique your interest. It's pretty much what you're describing. I don't know when you came up with your idea, but I haven't been in the guild for months.
I just came by looking for people to recruit for the above RP.

alright I begin cookin' something up.
For the record it's not exactly going to be like D&d, simply similar.
Oh, and given my availability, it might be a slow moving RP. maybe. depends on how my summer works out.

Hey Ninja....that part about the rules and such...i think you cant even say that on gaia without it being called a major no no..... just wanted to point that out...dont want anyone getting into trouble
but last time i checked even mentioning the (and yes i am saying it like a little kid because i can so xp ) "s" word is like a HUGE NO NO
i know 2 guilds that were shut down just for that

It has been "Ed"ited. I don't have a problem with it because nothing nasty would be said, and I really think it is only a problem if someone reports it, and we are all mature enough to A) not write MA material, B) not be offended if someone says their character had sex, but not go into any details at all.
