So I may or may not have eaten some entheogens this past week, and it may not have been my first time. This time I had some very special Love to eat and I decided to eat a lot. Anyways long story short I ended up freaking out. I know many people who have freaked out but I always thought I could handle myself and I knew what I was doing so I never thought it would happen to me. I am pretty well educated on many drugs especially the drugs I use myself, so I want to know:
Has anyone ever freaked out from anything?
Do you know why, what sent you off, bad set/setting?

A lot of people say that if you just think you won't have a bad trip, you won't.
They're wrong.
You need to realize that you're putting chemicals into your body that don't belong there; of course there can be imbalances, be them physical or mental. You said you did a lot. that could have a lot to do with it.
I've freaked out plenty of times. Like, bugged out hard core

Deadside Dreams A lot of people say that if you just think you won't have a bad trip, you won't. They're wrong. They were special too though, they had a picture of albert hoffman on it and they were very powerful. I used to think that I wouldnt have a bad trip because I knew how to approach it. Good setting, I even had my boyfriend babysitting me, there was absolutely no reason I should have freaked out. Next time I'm not going from one to ten....

Psychedlics bring our your feels and intensify them. If you have anxiety or depression to any degree you're putting yourself up for a bad trip. I can't trip period.

I freaked out on mushrooms a few months ago... And I'm no noobie to them either... I'm a small girl, but when I trip, I take what everyone else takes... When I was eating shrooms often I would usually eat a quarter bag, and be totally fine... They were my favorite thing for a long time... But the last time I ate them I ate a half quarter because our guy said that they were really strong... While I was tripping, it was the most amazing trip I have ever had, and I've tripped on pretty much everything... Anyways, I was fine so I decided to go downstairs, and outside to the bar that was three doors down from my apartment to go see the Micheal Franti concert, but when I stopped outside of my building I passed out... Everyone saw me, and luckily my fiancee dragged my back up the stairs, where I kept falling out...
I ended up coming to, and later in the night my fiancee droped to the ground and was gasping...
We were okay after we came down, but it was very traumatic because it went from being the best trip ever, to the worst ever...
Anyways, thats my traumatic trip story... I hope I never have any more to talk about...

Controlling your mental perception is key. If you go into a trip with residual feelings towards something, or if something isn't right, then chances are, it's gonna ride you. BUT, if you go into a trip, and REALIZE where you are, and keep your mind sound, but your perception ablaze, then chances are you will have a very fun escalator ride. You will always exhibit a raised level of reaction, so choosing your company and setting is a good plan too.
I've had plenty of bad trips, but I haven't for some time. It started to get better once I was able to meditate while tripping. Now I can eat a shrooms all day and not freak out, it just feels like an ocean tide rushing through my body, crashing into the cove of my mind.
I will say this though, some drugs come with a demon on it's back, and those demons won't take no for an answer. X was not a fun drug for me, it carried with it too much haze, and left me out of control, unwillingly out of control.
