Personality: Saiyori is often thought of as the Kitsune of his family. A quiet fox that is unwilling to show his full capabilities unless provoked. Though he is most uncomfortable in crowded areas, he doesn't show it, instead preferring to slide on one of his multitude of masks. Hiding his true nature seems to be his defense mechanism.
Background: Saiyori never knew the hardships that came with being poor, having to count change just to buy a bottle of milk. He never knew just how
hard his great-great-grandfather worked to keep his tiny printing house open. Because not only had his great-grandfather had his family to support, but also his employees and the people who did their best to give him the manuscripts he needed in order to stay in business.
As time went on and people began to branch out in their interests, the Black Publishers slowly became more popular. Their magazine often held things that many people wish to see, but at the same time, were reluctant to. The Black Book you see, was a Fantasy Magazine which later extended out into an actual publishing house.
For a time Black Book the Magazine disappeared as the company shifted its focus onto the actual procuration of new authors. By this time, Saiyori's father, Mikolo, was training to take over the business with his newly wed wife. He knew that they could take the company far, with his sense of business and her heritage influenced ideas. Mikolo only hoped that their children would inherit their strong points, for he hated to see the company that had such a rough start, crumble because of careless mistakes.
Years later, Mikolo was the proud father of fraternal twins, a boy and a girl, and two more sons. His daughter would later show an interest in running the company, his eldest son would end up adding his name to the list of Authors published by the company, and his youngest son would go into game design. His middle boy, would end up taking a spot as an Editor for the newly revived Black Book Magazine, and publish a different take on the creation of Black Publishers into it, as a tribute to his late grandfather.
Family Relationship: Saiyori was often thought of a ordinary, in comparison to his family. His Mother, Ginger, is a wonderful woman from the working class, influenced by her Asian-American background. His father, Mikolo, is a man from a British-Irish heritage. Both did whatever it was that their hearts told them, and though they have had many repercussions from doing so, haven't changed their ways at all.
His oldest siblings, Mark and Ami-lee were both interesting in their own ways. Ami-lee held a kind of grasp on business that was reminiscent to their grandfather, much to her delight. She knew that Black Publishers would be hers one day. Mark was more content to let his pen do his talking, rather then to vocalize his own aspirations.
His younger brother, Sakuya, had a talent for art, mostly designing monsters and worlds. Though he is young, he already managed to procure a job with a fairly popular gaming company through his school.
Saiyori on the other hand, held no aspirations or talents worth noting. He could draw, but it was a hobby, not a passion. He could write, but it never held the same flare that Mark had. He enjoyed reading other peoples works anyway. But he was cunning. He knew how to wait for things to turn in his favor, how to disarm those who wanted something he didn't feel like giving. His sister often ended up being disarmed by him, as neither of his brothers ever wanted something that he didn't want to give.
His looks also, were different. He had bright red hair, while his sister had a much more tame auburn. Mark had a darker shade of red, closer to black, and Sakuya had plain black hair. All of them had green eyes. Saiyori though, was the only one who came out a little...more feminine then the rest. Much to his parents amusement. Ginger often joked that she had two girls and two boys, when her children were still small and could fit easily into each others clothing.
Speaking of fashion was something of a taboo in the house. Too many different styles and trends to ever put a ban on, because what one parents disliked, the other was guaranteed to enjoy it. Mark and Saiyori were the only practical ones. Growing up Saiyori enjoyed a more asian traditional sense of clothing, saying that his family should embrace all aspects of their heritage, and not just whatever was readily available. It also helped that his school at the time, was going through a three year long phase with anything oriental related. He just never seemed to grow out of it when the craze faded. Mark liked things from Italy. Sakuya was a punk from all over the world, and at one time Ami-lee looked like someone from an x-rated film. Changing Ami-lee's wardrobe was the one fashion related problem both parents agreed on.
Personality wise, the children were different. Mark was soft spoken, Ami-lee was not quite in-your-face, Sakuya was loud and boisterous. Saiyori was quiet, but not withdrawn. He enjoyed the games that could be played with the quiet nature and pretty looks. He wasn't the master of deception, but he'd like to pretend that he was.
Clothing: A royal blue silk chinese
cheongsam with black trousers and a non-descript black belt. The cheongsam should fall to about mid thigh with a slit running up each side to about waist height. The pattern on it is that of sakura branches and blossoms.
Accessories/ Jewelery: A
necklace with a jade cut into the shape of a flower. A
charm attached to his belt of a chinese red
knot with a bit of jade carved into the infinity symbol, visible hanging from the slit in his cheongsam on either side of his hip. A small fox face, or fox mask hairpin decorates his hair.
