For a second there I thought that this was another new Siren game but it's New Translation under a different name. There's already a little discussion going on in the "SIREN: NEW TRANSLATION" thread that's a little way's down the list.

I got play through this on my friend's PS3. I'm rather satisfied with it. The story is basically like the one from the first game, but with many characters combined. It only took about 15 hours to beat and none of it was frustratingly hard.

I lost interest when I found out I can't actually buy a physical copy. How come it's only download? I'm too cheap with my HDD space to download games of that caliber.
What do you mean only 15 hours? 15 hours is a very reasonable time for a video game.

Biohazard EXTREME What do you mean only 15 hours? 15 hours is a very reasonable time for a video game. I didn't mean it in a negative way, I was just stating how long it took me(I guess I could have left off the only). It is strange that it's only offered as a download here. It sounds like the people who really want a hard copy are importing it. You can download each episode separately and delete them once your down with them if you want. The only one you have to keep is the first because it contains the basic game data.

Yeah, I really have a problem with that. The way I see it is, if it's not something I can keep, it's not worth paying for. I don't even like renting. I like having the actual disc and the case, etc. Otherwise I don't feel like it's mine, and if that's the case, then I don't have a lot of incentive to play it. It's not a thing against Siren in particular, but against the state of the video game industry as it is. Everything is downloaded, downloaded, downloaded. But then... If I download it on my PS3, I can't bring it and play it at a friend's house. Or let them borrow it. It bugs me.

Yeah. Disappointing.
You know, one of the best parts about being a gamer was that, I'd buy a game here, a game there. Not all those games ended up what I expected. Sometimes I get bored of certain games, or maybe I simply didn't like them. Eventually, I'd have a pile of about 10 games which I bring into EB games to trade in for store credit and buy myself a NEW game. And now, with this whole download craze, not only are you not getting a hard copy of the game. But if you're tired of the game, or didn't like it, there's absolutely no trade-in value for it.
