At least this guild is doing better than the one dedicated to tournaments, which seems to have breathed its last breath. There hasn't been any activity there in a while.
I would gladly compete in tournaments, but I always have a lot of problems with lag and latency. It often takes a full second for an action to occur after I've pressed a button. It also takes a while for friends to be registered for some reason.
We've had the most activity when we were discussing the possibilities of Brawl. But as soon as it was released, it just stopped. Our opinions and imagination are required to make a thread interesting. We need threads for discussing strategies, tactics, and even physical attributes of characters. Perhaps even one for each character. We should also have a place to discuss characters and stages that could/should have been in, as well as our own original creations. Rather than just post a vague moveset for a favorite character and move on, we should comment or criticize each other's ideas and make suggestions of our own.
I was actually thinking of making a thread for the possibilities of an indepth character creation mode a while ago, but I wasn't sure if I should as many people would most likey say "No, it's impossible" without making an attempt at creating their ideal Smash character.
------------RANDOM INTERUPTION------------
While typing, I suddenly thought of an online game mode similar to the Great Maze in which we could go wherever we wanted in the Smash world while meeting, challenging, or teaming up with other players as we traveled. There would of course be some sort of reason to traverse the land and fight enemy creatures and bosses, making it like a sidescrolling Fighter/RPG hybrid. Sorry, I felt it was important enough to mention, and I had nowhere specific to put it and didn't want to forget.
---------------END INTERUPTION---------------
I also rarely create a thread myself anyway. But I think the first step in reviving the guild would be to answer this question; Where did everyone go? Are they all too busy playing Brawl to talk about it? Or did they find other things to do?
I remember someone mentioning a Smash RP once, but I don't know if it was ever started up. Perhaps we could do something like that, using the concept of characters as animated trophies in a vast world, just like the Subspace Emissary, only with our own characters and our own story.
