Well it's been a while since I posted in this guild. :B After finals are over, I'll have more time to post.
So....
Two days ago I went to see my favorite band in the whole wide world (Nightwish if you're wondering) in concert, and it was an amazing experience.
Hours later after the show, this crazy thought started coming into my mind. I'm not sure if it's the holy spirit trying to tell something, if it's directly from God or maybe just my own conciousness, but....is it weird to pray for salvation to the musicians you like, or any celebrity in general? At first I never really thought about and was just thinking, "I'll just go and enjoy these musicians while they're still here on earth, since I won't be seeing them in heaven" but now...
uggh. I'm so confused. not only that, but another crazy thought hit my mind right after that too: the thought of even daring to evanglize to these musicians during fan meet-ups. Is this from God again or am I just going crazy? Becuase there's no way I'll even be able to do something like that! I'm too scared and too shy to even look at the face of my favorite musicians if I met them up that close! will they even care? will they laugh at me for doing so, if I ever do such again? If I really do something like this...how would I know if it's God that wants me to go on such a mission, or maybe it's just my overhyped fangirl mind? I don't think I'm even ready to do something like this.

It's been 3 days now and the effect is starting to wear off. I still don't know if what I thought was from God or not, but if I get hugely convicted of this some years later, I have that feeling that I'm going to start up this musician missionary ministry or something like that. haha I'll just stick to praying for celebrities and just sharing salvation to friends at school.

Something I've learned: If you get a feeling like that, like you need to evangalize or pray for someone or whatever, do it. God has a plan and he knows what you can handle. Following God means trying to follow his will as well. I've had the same problems, and I've missed my chance plenty of times, but whenever I did follow the feeling, things turned out amazingly well. Next time you get the feeling, i suggest following it.

Kinslayer's goooood. I like Eva, too.
Wishmaster was the first Nightwish song I ever heard because I'm a major Dragonlance fan, and when I heard that they'd based a song on Raistlin Majere, I was like, "OMFG GIMME OMNOMNOM". xd

yesss, now that school finals are over...
Nightwish is the shizz. :3
and SWEENEY TODD!? no way! how could anyone make fun of you for buying the soundtrack!? at my school people would be raving about it, even guys...or maybe it's because I go to an arts high school and we just did a Sweeney Todd performance months ago...lol but still...
Sweeney Todd is awesome. I've been dying to see the film version! blaarj;ehg; but I can't because I'm too poor to afford movie tickets. neutral I haven't watched any movies this year. so speaking of illegal downloading...
sigh. My dad has download SO MANY films off the internet. I hate crappy, pirated DVDs but it's the best that we can do so far. Same with music. I would LOVE to get Nightwish's first CD (Angels Fall First) but with the current financial situation that my family is in, I can't really do anything. uggh our budget's been tight ever since we moved here in the U.S. neutral
oh yeah, and AFF is their most underrated album. :B
but anyway, Sarcastic_Angel: thanks for the one up. I've been feeling like that this whole year with friends at school too, and there have been so many times that I missed my chance. *sigh* I'll pray to God about it and see what He says. Who knows, maybe he chose to actually start some sort of musician missionary ministry. I must be crazy! well at least I think so. for now I'll stick to praying for celebs in general (this includes NW too, haha).
Corpse_Bride_131: lol same here. I've been searching for quite a long time now to find other NW fans at my school, but so far I've only found a few. blaah it's getting tedious. most only know of Evanescence, but there are other female fronted bands out there besides them! I also listen to Within Temptation and Lacuna Coil. I know there's After Forever, Epica, Leave's Eyes, Tristania, etc. but I haven't gotten around to listening to them much, and some of them just didn't click to me right away like how Nightwish did with me, and only like a few songs. I tried so many times getting into After Forever. I can't. they're good alright, just not a huge fan. the rest I need to listen to a lot more.

Most of the students in my school are Asian. Our conversation went something like this:
"So, I bought the Sweeney Todd soundtrack last weekend."
"omglol u bought t3h soundtrack?!?!?!111!one y dident u just |/load it?!!??!!?11 LOLOLOLOLOLROFLMAO"
It makes me ashamed to be Asian.
And then there's the idiots who make fun of me for my taste in music:
"OMG CLASSICAL AND JAZZ?!?!? What are you, like, a hundred years old? LOL!"
"OMG "GREEN FINCH AND LINNET BIRD"?!?!?!? You like listening to a rich white girl complain about how she can't sing? LOL!"
"OMG HARD ROCK AND ALTERNATIVE METAL?!?!?!? Why you listen to that emo s**t? LOL!"
And so on.
