Lavona was sleeping in the sunlit spot in the middle of her room. The visit she resived from her aunts the other day was a nice surprise to her, but now she was resting. Never knew when you were going to need your energy around this place. The sun made her dark coat shine and the dark purple stood out amongst the black. Lavona moved a paw to cover her face before leting out a long sigh and becoming still again. The cool stone of the floor beneath her was a good contrast from the sun warming her dark coat and she was content to laze there.
Bird songs fluttered into the stone room where the walls were pale and had vines growing in the corners. A stone bath that some how pumped water from the mouth of a lions head and drained out from a hole in the far corner of it, was slick and shinier than the walls and floor and rather large. The trickling of the water combined with the song birds almost made Lavona forget she was locked up. Almost, but not quite.

Numai slowly walked down the hall, the pads of his paws making a soft noise with every step. He had a vine in his mouth, off of which a few large bundles of grapes hung. He had hopes that his sister would enjoy them, a small treat for her good behavior during the visit with his aunts. He was stunned at how fast they seemed to grow up, almost right before his eyes. The next time Lavona saw them, he was sure she probably wouldn't even know who they were.
He slowly unblocked the door to Lavona's room, quietly pushing the door completely open so he could look inside at his sister. She really was lovely, when it all came down to it...But he knew that under that, she was just as stubborn as he himself could be. Still, with the right motivation, she quickly turned into nothing but a purring kitten before his feet that only hinted at the violence below the surface of their current... 'relationship'.
Finally, he moved into the room and closed the door behind himself. He stood facing her, his eyes looking her over before he set the grapes down in front of her. "You seem...peaceful. Have you come to like this place, I wonder?" He asked, smiling a little. "I would like it, if you had..."

Lavona stirred when she heard the door open, her dream world vanishing when she regained all conceousness and stood up. Yawning greatly, shaking her head after wards, she eyed her brother sceptically. She dared a look at the grapes infront of her that layed on the stone floor of the room.
Lavona looked back at Numai and gave him a look that said; 'Who do you think you are?' and stood up. "I bet you would like that Numai." She didn't take a cowering tone with him, or a loving one, because she wasn't afraid of him, well when he wasn't threatening her family she wasn't. "I might, and thats a big might, like it if I weren't, y'know, locked up!" She spat the other part out of her mouth as if it were hot food.
Lavona turned around and walked to the other end of the room, sure it was large, but to a sibael who spent her whole life outside and free, it was a tiny cage. She actually forgot what it felt like to walk in the soft grass. Even more so, she missed her parents and the rest of her siblings. But no, no she had to be kidnaped, damnit.

Numai smiled slightly, amused by her actions. "You don't have to stay locked up...If you'd just see reason, and stop fighting all of this...then I'd let you wander as you pleased, sister..." He walked over to her, standing a few feet away and watching her. "It's nice out today...it has been for the last few days. Would you like to come out for a walk with me?"
He watched her closely, as if studying the very thought process she was having. "If you promise not to run away, then we can go for a walk. Our aunts can't join us, of course....but you'll get to see them soon enough. They're quite lovely now, Lavona...they've grown into such beautiful young ladies. I'm sure you'll be proud of how they've come to take care of themselves. Strong...independent...Still not like you, of course, but they have some of your spirit. It must run in our blood, do you think?" He asked, as if trying to have a calm conversation with her.

Lavona had been in this run down place for a while, probably half a year, now that it was summer now and it was winter when she was kidnapped. She put a fake smile on her face and became enthusiastic. "You'll really let me go for a walk with you Numai?! Out side and in the sun?!"She jumped playfully twards him and stopped abruptly when she was close in front of him and laughed in his face. Now void of her sarcastic happyness. "Oh thats rich Numai." She snorted. "Your what? ten minuts older than me and here you are acting like the king of the world." She rolled her eyes and walked away from him.
"I'm glad theyre doing well. Do they get to go out side, or do you keep them locked up aswell?" She turned tward him and huffed, he pissed her off to no end, but she realy did want to go out side. "Fine," she huffed, "I'll go on a walk with you."

Numai raised an eyebrow at her, smiling. "Oh, they get to go outside when ever they want. Marshael walks with them, to help protect them if they need it." He tilted his head, watching her. "They love it outside this time of year, it seems."
He got up, walking back toward her and purring as he moved over to lean over her shoulder. "I'll take you out, little sister...But remember that I won't hesitate to remove the innocents from this place, should you run...and you will never find them in this world again." He turned, leaving the threat for their aunts safety hanging in the air as he walked back to the door. "Oh Lavona? Eat your grapes. I got them just for you, you know. The best ones there were out there on the vines."

Lavona's lip curled over her shimmering teeth as she growled at Numai's face as it was over her shoulder. She went to swat at his muzzle, but he'd moved now. Well that was great. She couldn't run. b*****d. He knew her weak points, her family. She'd kill him, damn it, and if it killed her in the process, so be it!
Lavona sneered and picked the grapes from the vine, eating them slowly. They made her miss being out side deeply, she could taste the sun that warmed them and the rain that fed them. Yep, she definatly hated him. Wait, where was he going, weren't they going on a walk? She growled. "b*****d."

Numai paused, smiling. "Better hurry up, or the door will close in you face." He said, kicking the door open. He walked through, then waited on the other side, watching her. He had to admit she looked much better and healthier in this new room then she had in the other one.
The door slowly started to drift back, closing slowly from the gentle breeze coming into the room from the windows. "Best hurry now, sister dear. Or else, it'll be too late." He called to her, smiling.

Lavona walked out of the closing door as it barly missed her tail when it closed. She glared at Numai as she walked next to him, she held her chin high, she wasn't about to show submission to him. The time of day, and the sun peeping through the holes in the wall lit up the surrounding hall, her eyes wandered over the lighter places where portraits once hung on the crumbling walls. Old silver chairs with moth eaten cloths set in the hall in some places, every thing caught her interest as she walked by, a tapestry with burgundy, gold, purple and turquoise caught her eye and she stopped for a moment to look at it, only to remind her self that she was supposed to hate it here.
Lavona kept walking, once her paw hit a small stone and sent it clattering across the floor. The sound it made was hollow before it came to a stop at a wall. Other than that her paws made no sound as the dark coated female walked to where ever her deranged brother was taking her.

Numai silently watched his sister with amusement, then looked forward. "This place is falling apart...but it was once a magnificent place. I believe it can be again, with enough work...." He nodded, his voice for once serious and soft. "I'm having Marshael clean all the hallways and rooms, romoving anything that is rotting and can not be saved, and sweeping all the dirty and dust away. I had him do your room as you were waiting. I hope you do like it.."
He frowned suddenly, thoughtfully. "Our Aunts have been talking about seeing you again...maybe you can join us for dinner. They'd love it, I'm sure." He said, nodding before he turned and lead her down some stairs and out into a garden that was overgrown, flowers growing even in the cracks of the walkways.
"Here you are...a garden for you alone. If you want, I can have Marshael start on cleaning it up next..." Numai offered her, glancing back toward her again.

Lavona was still on gaurd but she figured while Numai was pretending to be nice, for she knew he was, she could pretend too, maybe even not pretend. She nodded her head slowly, "Yeah, I suppose it is pretty." Though it would be really nice if it excluded you. She thought bitterly.
Lavona's mouth opened a bit and a small gasp escaped. It was really pretty. She quickly recovered and shook her head. "No." She looked at Numai. "Its mine right? I don't want any one to touch it." Okay, she was aloud to be posesive. I mean, its a beautifull garden. Lavona was gonna fix it up, she was gonna make it pretty. She walked slowly to a low tree with thick branches that had blossoms on it at the moment. It was so prettty. So much for pretending, damn it.

Numai sat down, smirking as he watched her. He knew she'd like it... He looked around, then glanced back at her. "The deer have been avoiding this place since we've moved in...so the grass has gotten a bit long." He said, looking at the overgrown grass that was laying like a blanket over the ground. "Are you sure you wouldn't like any help?" He asked, looking back at her.
His ear flicked when a fly landed on it, but for the moment everything, including himself, was at a calm. The breeze was soft and peaceful, and the suns light warmed the garden and it's occupants like a loving hug during a chilly night. "If you do not want any help, then that is your choice completely."

Lavona's ears went back suddenly, as it struck her, Numai was acting funny. Well to her any ways. She whipped around quickly, her gaurd on full. "You're playing at somthing arent you?" Her lip twitched as a low growl sounded in her throat. "What kind of blind fold are you trying to pull over my eyes?" This was one girl who had to deal with too much drama, and any much more she'd be mental. She was surprised she wasn't.
Lavona eyed Numai carefully, the cooling wind blew through her black and purple fur, ruffling it. The tall grass she was standing in swayed and brushed high on her legs, her tail twitched, but she didn't loosen her stance.

Numai looked at her, then smirked, looking more like his old self. "Well, I wasn't playing at anything, but if you'd like to continue our intricate spar of a dance, then very well." He got up, walking closer. "I'm glad you like this place, though...I picked it out for your place. If you would like, you can start working on fixing it up now. I'll go lay out of your way."

Lavona sneered as he came closer, almost raising a heavy paw to swipe across his face to whipe that smirk off. Numai wanted somthing, he didnt do things for others just to do them, they usualy have to do somthing in return. Her ear twitched at hearing a bird in the tree she was close too.
Lavona walked to a diferent part of the garden, inspecting a stone statue that was covered in vines. Shaking her head she replied, "No. Its almost dark now, it doesn't give me that much time to do any thing in here." She turned her head to face him, and absolutly hated having to ask her brother permission to do somthing. "Do you think I could come back tomorrow?" Lavona shuddered from the icky feeling of asking Numai. The last time she had to ask permission to do somthing she was a cub.
