Prompt # 1.
Entry: Spotty trotted along lazily through the park, his tail wagging in time with his steps. Dotty came along afterwards, the blue tuft on top of her colorfully-splotched head bobbing in the gentle summer breeze. The pair were out on a walk, happily enjoying each other's company.
Dotty raced over to a tree, her ears erect. Spotty gave her a look that asked precisely why she was doing that, and she answered with a noise that in turn said 'Come over here'.
There was a sad little dog under the tree, his head resting on his paws. His tail hung limply at his side, and his bright green eyes were half closed. He frequently made small whining noises, and looked up at Dotty as she investigated him. His gaze was sad and deep, and Dotty's heart went out to the moping dog.
Dotty never liked to see anybody sad. That was just how she was. So, in order to cheer the sad dog up, she began to roll around and make funny noises, which was her usual antic anyway, but this time with more intent on 'funny' than on 'fun'. Spotty thought up what he was going to do, but halted himself in the midst of his imagined showy routine. The other dog was looking happier already, did he really have to step in? Dotty encouraged him to join in, and he eventually gave in to her relentlessly cheery urging. Spotty took his own flair to the routine, adding little clownish flips and whirls. The other dog was starting to cheer up, and his tail began to wag. Dotty started to leap over Spotty, and then he danced on his back legs. The dog yipped in amusement, joining in on the fun romp. Spotty was having fun now, rolling down the grassy hill and his tail whipping around in happiness.
The other dog was successfully cheered up, now for mission two: Finish their walk!

Prompt # #2
Entry:
So it had become quite apparent there normal trouble going behavior had been somewhat cut short by the arrival of the GHS van. Though they weren’t all too difficult to catch, Spotty and Dotty were quite friendly and without even knowing it the two had ended up in a cage driving around to the nearest shelter. When the doors opened to the back they were quickly leashed – Although Spotty had managed a short escape; that Dotty soon joined – silly humans running around with there sticks and leashes! But it was a short lived victory…who knew that the GHS workers had full cooked T-bone steaks!
One inside it seamed apparent that the two weren’t going to get free for a good long while. Although Spotty did try digging threw the concrete, and Dotty at this time had ‘liberated’ her brothers food.
“Yay, T-bone steaks!” She cried most triumphantly.
Dotty only looked up for an instant as her brother spoke. “You know we are stuck in these cages here?”
She shook her head. “It’s not too bad- we did get steaks!”
Spotty then paused. “Actually YOU got the steaks…” He looked a little mad at first then came back and licked her nose. “Ah but it’s alright little sister- at least we are together. Though next chance we get- we have to get back on the streets.”
Dotty cocked her head at him half tempted to follow him wherever he went but a part of her shook her head. “But wouldn’t you like to be adopted- you know a family with kids…I’ve heard about these shelters- we can get people who love us here!”
Spotty’s snout raised and shook his head. “Yea but weren’t people the reason why we were living out on the streets in the first place? We were Christmas gifts remember…kids got bored with us, I don’t want to go threw that again.”
But Dotty reassured him with another well placed lick. “I promise that won’t happen again. The people here seam nice- and I’ve seen a lot of nice families.”
Again her brothers mouth twisted in anguish. “Well if you say so Dotty…I trust you because I love you sis.”
So with his most pleading smile went over to the door on the cage and with two colorful paws clawing at the bars, he attracted the attention of a small little boy. With a squeak he dashed back to his family. For a few seconds Spotty had thought he was afraid, but when he saw him pulling two other humans (assumably his parents) he called over to his sister to join him at the bars. Again the boy squeaked again and pointed to the two dogs as if they were his favorite toys. The parents looked from one to the other; they weren’t exactly planning on TWO dogs. But the little boy made for a pleading case almost bouncing as much as the two Dalmatians themselves were doing.
And with love at first sight the boy got his two first friends and Spotty and Dotty got a loving home.
The End! biggrin

Prompt #3
Entry:
Oh this wasn't good, not good in the least. Finally a proper home for his sister and himself, good food, good everything, but their new owners had made one big mistake. They left the two a lone. Now Spotty was not the problem, a cautious and slightly older brother whom knew his place and what was ok to do and what was not ok to do. His sister Dotty on the other hand was not so well behaved. Or at least this is how Spotty viewed things. He knew just knew she was going to get them into some sort of trouble. It had never failed, they had gone from house to house to house. Each one getting rid of them for a different reason, but mostly for a mess left in the wake of one of Dotty's adventures. Not this time, oh no Spotty was determined this would be the place they would stay.
Oh this was perfect, just perfect as a peach. Finally a chance to explore this place. Their new owners had finally left the place, which meant only one thing to Dotty, PARTY!!! With a mischievous look through her blue scruff of hair at her sibling she gave a little playful bark.
"Come on Spotty it's time to play!! Our new parents are gone, let's cause some disarray!!"
With those words spoken, Dotty took off towards the stairs. She had not been let down there yet, and the humans even put a little gate there to keep her out. Dotty was not discouraged by this she worked at the gate till it fell down the stairs.
Oh no, oh no, just as Spotty had thought, his sister would surly get them kicked out. With tail between his legs he followed his sister.
"Come on Dotty, I'm not so sure this is a good idea. I mean there wouldn't be a gate there if there wasn't a reason."
Oh why did she have to be this way. Couldn't she just have fun, and play in a normal way? He really liked his new family too, the were loving and sweet. Everything a dog could ask for and she just didn't seem to care.
Oh great, now here he goes with the whole deal about not having fun at all. What did she care? All she wanted to do is have fun and it's not like the humans would keep them for long. Humans were so picky, if you had an accident you were out, if you broke something out, if you barked to much your were O U T out! At least at the kennels you got one hour or so of rambunctious free time outside.
"Oh come on! Live a little Spotty! I mean I bet that's where they keep all our snacks and food. Mmmm what fun we could have eating it, rolling in it, playing with it, eating it.....oh did I mention eating it?" Dotty nudged her brother a bit knowing far to well what his weakness was.
Food? Food?!!!!! FOOOD!! It was like a kibbles and bits commercial. Tongue hanging out his tail a wagging as Spotty ran into the darkness of the basement. He sniffed about, there were several scents, but none of treats are dog food.
"That's funny, I don't smell any food."
"I said it might be where they keep the food."
Dotty let out a satisfied giggle as she followed a little more slowly down the stairs. She let her eyes a just to the darkness. Her nose began to detect smells both interesting and horrid.
"Oh Creepy."
Dotty whispered before sneaking up behind Spotty and nipping at his tail.
Spotty let out a yipe and jumped into the air. Spinning around he tackled his sister gently pulling on her ear with a playfully growl. They rolled and rolled till they bumped into something. Something fury and small, something that hisses at them with its rodent fury. A rat!
"Uh oh, I know why they didn't want us down here Dotty!!!"
Dotty began to bark as though she was preparing to fight the little bugger. She growled showing her teeth which only made the rat worse. It lunged at her and she jumped out of it's way.
"Dotty are you mad?!! It's bite can make you sick. Dotty run!!"
Spotty growled and snapped at the rat making sure to keep distant from it. He waited as Dotty ran up the stairs yelping a bit as though she was trying to call for help. After he was sure she was up the stairs he ran, with the rat hot on his tail. He barked to Dotty whom had stopped most likely thinking the rat would not follow them into the light. They ran into the living room and jumped up on to the couch.
"Spotty?! I'm sorry!" Dotty cried watching the rat creep into the living room. "I don't wanna get sick!"
"It's alright we'll figure out something." Spotty comforted Dotty before growling hoping to warn the rat away, but it was a huge rat and quite unafraid of the barks.
It was just then the front door opened followed very quickly by a scream. There new human parents were home! Nay-nay grabbed a broom while still screaming her head off and beat it at the ground near the rat. The rat seemed to be more frightened by the screaming then by the broom and scurried down stairs. Nay-nay put the gate back up before grabbing the phone.
"I told you we had rats!" She said as she began to dial in hopes of getting rid of the beast.
Doodle shook her head at Nay's antics before going and checking on Spotty and Dotty.
"Are you two alright? You know you shouldn't have gone down there don't you?" Doodle sounded stern, but not mean in anyway.
Spotty whimpered, this was it they were out of here. No home yet again, who knows if the shelter would even take them back this time around.
Dotty whimpered as well, this was all her fault. Her poor brother had to deal with her. Maybe they would keep him and just get rid of her. That way at least Spotty could be happy?
"Well you guys look alright, but let's check you over." Doodle said with a smile before sitting down and placing Spotty in her lap throughly checking for any bites or scratches.
"They'll be coming tomorrow to take care of it. Hey!! There is my big girl there she is!!! Did that mean old stinky rat get you?" Nay said grabbing Dotty to check her over. "Maybe we should take them to the vet to get them checked just in case."
Spotty and Dotty smiled at each other, it seemed this time they got to stay. "Wait a minute?! VET?!!!!!!!" Both Spotty and Dotty were off in a flash.
"We're going to have to start spelling things aren't we?" Nay asked with a smile to Doodle.
"Seems that way Nay. Seems that way." Doodle said shaking her head at Nay and trying not to burst into laughter wondering if the dogs could spell too.
Fin!!!

Prompt # 1
Entry:
Lisa Frank Spotty-Goofy and a real ham, Spotty always has a smile on his face. He tends to get his sister into mischief. Dotty-Very artistic and creative. Dotty is the "boss" of the pair, trying to get her brother to do things her way and usually trying to get Spotty out of trouble.
The sun was high in the sky that morning as Spotty and Dotty walked through the park. The air was crisp and clean; it was spring. Birds chirped and flew merrily through the sky and there was a warm breeze moving through the air. Upon waking up, Spotty and Dotty decided it would be best to start the day with a nice, long walk. What better place to go for a walk than through the park? And so, they began their venture. "It's a dark blue day..." Dotty said, frowning at the sky. Her brother Spotty narrowed his eyes in thought at her statement. "What does that mean?" he asked. He glanced up at the sky like his sister was doing in hopes that he would be able to see what she was seeing. Dotty sighed loudly at his question. "It means," she drawled, staring at him as they walked. "that it's a dark blue day!" "Oh, I see." Spotty said, grinning at his sister. Dotty laughed at his reply. "No you don't, stupid!" she said, spitting her tongue out at him. Spotty stumbled backwards at her gesture and gasped. He wasn't seriously offended of course, he just liked to act. Acting was very fun to Spotty and it made people laugh a lot. He liked that. "How dare you call me stupid and spit your tongue out at me!" he shouted at his sister. Then he ran at her and tagged her with his paw. "Tag, you're it!" After tagging her, he promptly bolted for some trees in the center of the park, laughing. Dotty was left to stand by herself, still taking in what had just happened. "Hey! You're not allowed to tag me!" she shouted. There was no response. After a moment, she raised her chin and smirked. "We'll see who's it in just a second!" Then she took off after him. As Dotty approached the trees her brother had gone into, she slowed down. She couldn't hear Spotty's laughter. "Spotty...?" she called quietly, peering into the trees, wagging her tail. The wagging of her tail slowed when she saw he wasn't there. Dotty wrinkled her nose and narrowed her green eyes. "SPOTTY!" she shouted, moving further into the patch of trees. "You're not allowed to hide when playing tag! That's breaking the rules!" "Dotty~!" someone called from farther away. It was Spotty. "Come here, quick! It's horrible!" He sounded like he was faking it, but Dotty was still concerned. Besides, even if he was faking it, he had given away his position and was wide open for a tag. "Coming~!" Dotty yelled back at him. She tumbled out of the trees and began running in the direction she heard his voice from. After a moment, she saw that Spotty was sitting behind a park bench. He was grinning. "Hey," Dotty cried as she approached him. "Why are you smiling like that if there's...something..." Dotty stopped walking when she came behind him and stared down over his head. There, on the small patch of pavement was a small kitten. Dotty tilted her head and quirked an eyebrow. "You're right," she said to her brother. "that IS horrible! Look, it's...It's GREY!" She narrowed her eyes and moved closer to it for a better view. Its eyes were awash with tears and it was trembling. "This kitty says her boyfriend dumped her." Spotty said, smiling mischievously at his sister. "He dumped her like a--" "Be quiet for a second, Spotty." Dotty said in her commanding voice. Spotty was silent but continued to grin and wag his tail as he sat. Spotty laid down beside the kitten and sniffed at her. "You had a boyfriend?" she asked the kitten, staring. The kitten looked as if a new wave of sorrow had come over her and she went into a fresh fit of trembling and sniffing. "Not like that, Dotty," Spotty said, waving a paw at his now affronted sister. "You gotta make her laugh!" Spotty flipped his hair out of his face and stood up. He cleared his throat into his paw and closed his eyes. The kitten had stopped trembling and seemed to be focused on Spotty. Dotty watched with interest. When Spotty opened his eyes again, Dotty and the kitten saw that his eyes were crossed. Spotty threw his face in front of the kitten's and made violent raspberry sounds. The kitten's eyes bulged and her lips twitched. Dotty was on the ground, rolling with laughter. "Cheer up, little kitty~!" Spotty gurgled to the kitten as he chased his tail. After several dizzying moments, Spotty stopped and plopped onto the ground on his back. He twitched his paws in the air and stared at the kitten upside-down. "Th-th-th-thank you f-f-f-for t-trying to make me l-laugh..." The kitten stammered through her sniffles. She licked her paws and smeared them over her ashen face to clean it up. "I m-must be a mess..." she murmured in a tone of shame. Dotty frowned and put a paw on the kitten's small back. "There, there, little kitty..." Dotty said in her most comforting voice. Spotty stood himself up on his back legs and placed his front legs flat on the ground in front of himself. "She always talks like that to me when I'm sad." Spotty informed the kitten. The kitten blinked and stopped washing her face. She seemed surprised at what he said. "When are you sad...?" she asked him. Dotty rolled her eyes and shook her head. "Ohh," Spotty began, staring around himself as he thought. "Mostly whennnn...We don't have pickles to eat and stuff..." He licked his lips. Probably at the thought of pickles. "But when Dotty talks in that voice, I feel better. So feel better, little kitty!" Spotty chirped, crossing his eyes again. Dotty smacked him over the head with one of her paws. Spotty winced and laughed. "Thank you both," the kitten said in a near-whisper, a faint smile on her lips. "but...Why do you keep calling me 'kitten'? I'm a full-grown cat..." "OH MY GOODNESS!" Spotty and Dotty said in unison. "A full-grown cat?" Spotty gasped in disbelief. "You should have said something sooner!" Dotty said, flipping her ears back. "I thought you knew!" the cat cried in her small voice. "Is it really that hard to believe I'm not a kitten?" she asked, her yellow eyes wide. "Is that why my boyfr--...Is that why he...he..." The cat's lips began trembling and tears flooded her eyes. "Oh, I thought it was because you look so plain!" Spotty said loudly. Dotty smacked him over the head again. The cat lowered her head slowly and turned her back on the two siblings. "I'm sorry, but...Could you leave me alone now?" she squeaked sorrowfully. Spotty and Dotty exchanged looks. "Now, just you wait a second..." Dotty said quietly, walking over to the cat. "What if I told you I could make you look like a full-grown cat AND make you bright and beautiful?" "AND give you pickles to eat!" Spotty added, wagging his tail. The kitten turned her head to look over her shoulder. She smeared tears out of her eyes once more and snorted. "R...Really...?" she asked faintly. "Really." Spotty and Dotty replied, nodding their heads. The cat stood up, stared at the ground for a moment, and then raised her head high to look at the two of them. "You...You know what?" she said, suddenly appearing stronger. "I think...I think I...I think I want to be bright and beautiful!" "AND eat pickles?" Spotty asked. The cat smiled and nodded. "And eat pickles." "WHOO! Let's GO!" Spotty said. He jumped off the ground and sprinted off in the direction of their home. "Hey~!" Dotty yelled after him. "NOT SO FAST! SLOW DOWN!" She took off after him. The cat followed right behind her. Just a few minutes of running later, the three of them were in an alley. Spotty disappeared into a hole in the wall. Dotty looked down at the hesitant cat and smiled reassuringly. Then Dotty went into the hole. The cat followed after them. Once the cat had stepped inside, bright lights blinded her for a moment. Her eyes adjusted slowly and she looked around. "Wow..." she whispered slowly. It looked like she was in the middle of a rainbow. There were rainbow rugs, chairs, blankets...The walls and ceilings themselves were painted after the sky full of rainbows. There were huge vases of bright, colorful flowers and all kinds of bright, colorful things in the room. It was the biggest most gorgeous room the cat had ever seen. "This is amazing...!" the cat said, sounding as though she were choking back tears. "Is it really possible to make me as bright and as pretty as this...?" "For sure!" Dotty said, smiling. "Come this way, if you please~." she bowed and waved her paw to her right. Spotty ran up a small flight of stairs and vanished behind a hanging red curtain. "Where'd he go?" the cat asked, staring up at Dotty. "Oh, don't worry about him. He just went to get a few things." She gave the cat a careless smile and directed her into a large, blue chair. The cat jumped onto it and settled into it's softness. "Feel better?" Dotty asked. The cat nodded. "Good! I'm gonna get started." Dotty trotted over to a bucket covered in paint splatters and grabbed a small brush with her teeth. Just then, Spotty came thundering down the stairs. His teeth were clamped over the handle of a large, steel bucket full of paints and what looked to be a jar full of sloshing green things. "I gut deh shturf!" Spotty said through his teeth. He handed the pail over to his sister. "Good job, Spotty." Dotty said with a praising smile. Spotty's tail wagged wildly. "Now..." Dotty murmured. "I will begin my work!" Spotty laughed evilly behind her and proceeded to make scary faces at the small cat. "Spotty, open up my paints." Dotty told her brother. Spotty popped open the bottles of paint with his teeth. He pushed them over onto their sides and pressed his paws on them, causing the paints to squirt out into gushy piles onto the floor. "Done~." Spotty chimed. He stepped away from the bottles. Dotty tipped her head and dipped her brush into some of the paint. She then began her work on the cat. While Dotty was painting, Spotty noticed something cold was on his foot. He perked his ears and lifted his paw to examine it. A glop of blue paint had gotten on it. He grinned deviously and limped over to Dotty with his paint-covered paw in the air. "Dotty..." he said in a jeering voice. "Hmm?" Dotty turned her head to look at her brother. Spotty slapped his paw onto her nose, smearing the blue paint all over her muzzle. "HAHAHA~!!" Spotty laughed and ran for the stairs. "WHY, YOU--!" Dotty seethed, her eyes flaming. "If I wasn't in the middle of painting, I SWEAR..." She shook off her annoyance and snorted paint out of her nose. The little cat was simply sitting in the chair, silent. Dotty sighed and continued her work. With a brush in her teeth and art in her heart, Dotty painted the cat in magnificent colors. Flurries of rainbows and blotches of sky, beams of light and bright red flowers...That's how the cat appeared once Dotty had finished. "Okay," Dotty said, smearing her forearm over her eyes, smiling at the finished product. "I'm done." Right after she said that, Spotty ran down the stairs to see. "WOAH~!" he exclaimed, gaping. Dotty fetched a chunk of mirror from one of their hanging mirror-chimes and brought it over to the cat. She propped it up in front of her and stepped back, allowing the cat to take it all in. For a few moments, Spotty and Dotty thought she hated it since she was so quiet. They both waited eagerly, their hearts slamming in their chests. Finally, the once-plain cat spoke. "I never thought..." she said, tears pouring down her face. "...that I could ever be...this beautiful...!" And with that, the cat curled up into a ball on the chair and burst into tears. Spotty and Dotty smiled at each other. "Well, I guess our work here is done." Dotty said, looking triumphant. "TH-THANK YOU!" the cat sobbed. Spotty and Dotty helped her down from the chair and walked her to the exit of their home. "I'm so...SO GLAD THAT..." the cat sniffed deeply. "...That I met you guys today...! You really helped me." She hopped out of the hole that was their doorway and turned to face them. "It was my pleasure." Dotty said with a nod. "Mine, too!" Spotty said immediately after. "OH! BUT WAIT!" Spotty ran to the blue chair and pushed something along the floor until he got to where the cat was. He popped open the lid on the jar he had been pushing and fished something out with his paw. He placed it at the cats feet. "Here," he said. "It's a pickle." He sounded as though he got amusement from saying the word. The cat smiled warmly, her bright yellow eyes contrasting with all the bright colors that now adorned her fur. "Thank you again." she said, bowing. She bit up the pickle, giggling at the sourness, and carried it with her as she walked out of the alley. "Always remember that you're beautiful~!" Dotty called after her. "And come back for more pickles sometime~!" Spotty called as well. Dotty went back into their bright home. Spotty followed her. "Another day, another deed." Dotty sighed. "Yup." Spotty chirped, flopping down onto a bed strewn with rainbow blankets. "And to think, it all started with MY idea to play tag..." he said, shaking his head and chuckling. "Nuh-uh!" Dotty said in opposition. "It started with ME saying that it was a dark blue day. So there." She nodded. Spotty rolled all over the bed to relieve an itch on his back. "Hey, Dotty," he said, grunting through his itching process. Dotty sneered at him, irritated that she had been ignored. "Bring me one of those pickles..." he sighed. He sat up and shook the length of his body. "Oh, get it yourself." Dotty said, offended, and went upstairs to rest. There was silence now. A breeze swept in and fluttered the delicate chimes that hung from the ceiling. Spotty smiled. "Hey, Dotty!" he shouted. "What?" Came Dotty's annoyed reply.
Spotty answered her with a loud raspberry.

Prompt # 3
Entry:
"Bye, sweethears. Be good." Dotty's ears perked as the door shut. She hesitated, turning her head to meet her twin's eyes and the two of them smiled in unison. "We're alone, aren't we?" Spotty nodded. "Aye, we are. Shall we explore this new place then?" He asked, tail wagging as he stood, stretching. This place was weird. It was all frilly and colorful and smelled too clean. He still hadn't gotten used to the lack of smells that usually hung around the streets. His sister smiled as she too stood. "Yes, lets." The two wandered around the humble home, sniffing here and there. Such a strange place! Wait- What was that wonderful smell? The two had entered the kitchen and now they stared up at the door to the pantry. They knew that smell. It was food and lots of it. Spotty turned to Dotty, his tail wagging quickly. "I think I might like this place." "Yeah. Now we just have to get the door open." Dotty scratched lightly at the pantry door before she stood on her hand legs, biting lightly at the doorhandle. Spotty meanwhile slammed into the door. Eventually, they managed to, the door slowly swinging open. Immediatly the pups were jumping up, tearing at the food on the shelves. Ceral pieces soon littered the floor along with crackers, rice, sugar, and anything else that happened to be in a container they could tear through with their teeth. They soon found the flour and with Dotty pulling one corner and Spotty pulling the other, the bag tore in two. Flour explouded from the bag, turning the front half of the two pups and everything around them solid white. They giggled, rolling in the white stuff and then chasing each other around the house, leaving white pawprints in their wake. Soon, there was not a room in the house that hadn't been covered partly in the stuff. When their owner returned home, he dropped the bags of books he'd just bought, staring at the mess in horror. Oh those dogs were in so much trouble! He stomped throught the house, pausing however as he spotted them. They were curled into a tight ball, using each as pillows, both solid white. A soft smile made its way onto his face and with a sigh he turned to find a broom and begin trying to clean up the devestation the pups had left.
