RULES

First off, the guild rules apply, as stated by Maron-Sama:

● First off, Godmoding isn't allowed at all. However, you may ask the people you are roleplaying with if you may take over their character for a post. But only with their permission.
● I will not tolerate hate-posting. If you don't like the idea of BOY/BOY relationships, then why are you here in the first place? This is the only rule that will get you an automatic ban without any warnings before hand.
● Be nice to all members, if you are being harassed please don't take it into your own hands. Bring it to the attention of a Mod. and they will deal with the issue.
● When you first join the guild, I will give you a week to post somewhere, if you have not posted by the end of the week you will be warned first and if you still do not post I will have to ban you. Warn me before hand if you're going to be gone for an extended amount of time.
● There will be absolutely no cybering in this guild. Not only is that against Gaia's TOS, I personally find it distasteful. However, your post may imply that something has happened but don't go into explicit detail.
● If you have any complaints, please post them in the Complaints/Issues sticky.

Second off, the subforum rules also apply:

● Absolutely NO cybering. if I find cybering ANYWHERE in your post, it is an automatic ban, no warnings at all. I must stress that I want this to be a clean guild, so no literary porn, thank you.

● This is a Semi-Literate Guild, meaning that you don't have to be entirely literate, but you at least have a little knowledge of correct grammar and use complete sentences. L33t speak and chat speak is not allowed. If you are warned about using l33t or chat speak and you still continue to do it, I will unfortunately have to ban you.

● Inactive Roleplays will be deleted, unless the person who started the thread requests otherwise and makes the thread active again. For a Roleplay to classify as inactive, it means no one has posted in it for at least a month.

● Roleplays are REQUIRED to have at least a plot summery - however it is prefered that they have a plot summery, title, rules, profile skeleton & other useful information.

Third:

No Godmodding
[Everyone hates it and it will not be tolerated here.]

No Cybering
[I shouldn't have to say it but if you must take it somewhere else.]

PG 17
[This doesn't mean you have to be that age. Just have common sense here and please be mature.]

PM Your Profile To Me
[Do Not post it. And please title the PM Road so I can tell it apart from my other PM's.]

Literacy
[It's a must have here. No using ** or anything else besides proper grammar. For example think of how story books are written. When talking OOC please use [], (), or {}]

No one liners
[Try to write at least three sentences in each post. I can understand writers block but that only lasts so long.]

Have Fun
[Cause I know that's why we're all here!]

Be Active Please
[If you must be away for a certain amount of time, please tell me so I won't think you've abandoned this and your character.]

SUMMARY

"You step into the Road, and if you don't keep your feet, there's no knowing where you might be swept off to."

The Road goes on forever. Sometimes straight, sometimes filled with twists and turns, with unexpected things waiting around every corner. You can decide to walk on it. You decide whenever you get off or not but sometimes you can't help but go further and further. And sometimes you reach a crossroad and your own road intertwines with others'. You part, or walk together or simply pass by.

Reikon and Aster's roads crossed during school years. A prestigious academy where the boy was a first year student who came there to help tame his wild spell casting, while Aster was a general spell casting teacher. And a weird one at that since rarely did a sprite, especially a fire one, venture away from it's home to live, learn and teach among others.

An invitation made during a discussion and a common passion for the unknown welcomed the summer vacation which brought with it freedom.

CHARACTERS

***

Gaia Username:
Lucifielle
Name of Character:
Reikon Madara
Age:
16
Orientation:
doesn't really know but since this is a yaoi RP, let's say bisexual
Position:
uke
Picture:
Reikon
Personality:
Reikon is a complete scatter-brain and quite clumsy. Also, not a morning person. Because he gets easily distracted, people say he has the attention span of a 7 year old. He is very ironic at times and his own greatest critic. He has high magic potential but he avoids using destructive spells because he's afraid he can't control them properly. Because of his magic background, he's fluent in old languages like Latin and ancient Greek, however he has a lot of trouble with Egyptian. He is more or less inept when it comes to sword play or any other activity involving motor skills or hand eye coordination.
History:
Reikon comes from a old nomad tribe that had settled in eastern Europe about a hundred years back. Magic wielders were very respected in his tribe and Reikon comes from one of the most powerful families. He is the youngest out of three brothers who in spite of his character, care for him a lot. Since he was small, because of his personality, he had a hard time controlling his powers and ended up blowing a lot of things up. The council decided to enroll him in the school, in hopes he would learn some discipline and self control, thus getting a firmer grip on his skills. Invited by his teacher to visit his home, Reikon welcomed the idea.
Specifics:
human
Other:
Apart from magic use specific to these parts, he also knows ancient spells devised by his tribe over the centuries but generally refrains from using them. He uses magic only in desperate situations and, in casual life, only for minor actions like fetching books or parchments from places hard to reach or warming up food or beverages.

Gaia Username:
KagonaX
Name of Character:
Aster Delphinium
Age:
48 Looks 22
Orientation:
Bisexual
Position:
Switch
Picture:
[Sprite Form] [Human Form]
Personality:
Aster is more the the silent and observant type. He doesn't jump into anything unless he's sure he has all the details. He tries to be helpful when possible but he knows when he shouldn't butt into something. Unless he's a bit too curious for his own good. However he's not the type to try and be rude in any manner so he will more often then not keep to himself. Aster can at times seem a bit eccentric but usually without meaning to. He has a tendency to focus on one thing in particular completely, momentarily forgetting anything else that doesn't have to do with what he currently is focusing on. He is considered to be quite possessive at times of what he considers to be his.
History:
Aster has always had a curious nature of sorts or so he had been told from those he knew. With that he had caught interest in a school where he had taught for some time. Not exactly something encouraged by anyone else he knew but it was what he wanted. Instead of simply remaining amongst the others that lived in the general area he wanted to do a bit more. He had spent plenty of time seeing the students that attended the school before and so that encouraged him to teach there as well. However he does intend to go back home sometime. Thoughts encouraged by one of his students. Now he looks forward to the summer with his teaching being done for the year and he isn't quite sure what he will do the next year school starts. Whether or not he'll teach again is what he is unsure of. He had accomplished what he came there to do and doesn't quite have a reason to go back unless something inspires him to go. Aster thinks to do other things now including what was mentioned before. That being to go home for a bit but he doesn't intend to stay there and not go elsewhere just yet. That is him settling down. He opes to do much more then he has done so far.
Specifics:
Fire Sprite
Other:
Aster specializes in spells that contain a fire attribute to them. Not that he can't use other Spells, those with the element he specializes in just seems to retain more power then the others do. He does enjoy a good book and he is fond of trying new things when he can.

Reikon gazed up at the summer sky, shading his eyes with his arm. The fluffy white clouds traveled slowly, carrying their weight over the entire academy grounds. Most of the students had already left for their homes the only ones remaining being the ones that either had summer courses or were in their terminal years and had nowhere else to go.

Most of his belongings had already been sent home, along with a note to his family telling them he will arrive home later having to go somewhere else before. Also, he told them he may be bringing home a guest. With only a backpack containing sturdy traveling clothes, blankets and essential items, Reikon was leaning against a ledge near the academy walls, gazing at the blue summer sky.

The last month had been quite hectic. With the prospect of such a journey ahead of him, he had found it quite difficult to focus through exams. The fear that he may have to spend the summer at the academy, taking summer courses to make up for failed exams was however more powerful and managed to keep him anchored enough to barely pass his physical exams, get good grades in spell casting and other such subjects and ace his ancient languages exams.

Now, with everything cleared, he was waiting outside the gates for the sprite to arrive. His heart was beating loudly, almost bursting out of his chest.
PostPosted: Thu May 29, 2008 3:35 pm

Aster was just going about leaving his quarters, with the few belongings he had that was only the essentials, he was to meet up with that student of his. Well, he couldn't call him his student anymore. He was to meet up with Reikon who he believed was already waiting by said meeting point. It was somewhat hard to believe that school was already over for now. Time seemed to pass by so fast when one looked back. But it hadn't seemed so when one was waiting for the time to pass by.

The sprite was glad to see that it appeared the majority of his class seemed to pass the exams. There was but a few who he figured didn't care to study or practice. Perhaps they would learn to do better next time or over whatever course of action they decided to do. It wasn't his concern anymore. He was officially free to go about his own business. He was going to take full advantage of the situation now with him planning to leave and all.

His attire consisted of nothing special, the usual attire he wore really. Though he left his hair loose with the cloth he had in a pocket to use if needed. He had never really had much of anything special really. He was a simply sprite and thus whatever he needed he found he could provide for himself in someway. At the moment he had everything he needed so his thoughts were focused on what was to come. He was already making his way outside thinking to look about for Reikon. However, he was quite easy to spot seeing him wait outside the gates. He briefly readjusted the pack he had slung over his shoulders, it was what carried his things, before thinking to speak as he approached the boy.

"Mr. Madara." The sprite spoke with a slight wave to catch the boys attention. He addressed Reikon as he was use to and wouldn't think t do otherwise unless given permission to. "I hope I didn't keep you waiting long." He had to make sure he had everything settled before he had taken off. A smile graced his his lips as he kept his crimson gaze directed towards the boy he soon came to stop a short ways from. "It looks like your prepared for this completely, am I right?" He was ready to go now if Reikon was and he would assume he was since he was waiting for him to come along.

Reikon turned his head as he heard himself being called in what now was a very familiar manner. "Hello, professor! Don't worry about it!" he smiled widely at the sprite. He jumped to his feet and dusted his behind, where his clothes had touched the ledge.

"Ummm...." he fidgeted, looking at the ground. "Would you mind calling me Reikon? I mean... we're not in school anymore and ... it sounds weird... I mean.. you don't have to! You can call me Madara too if you want! Just... not... mister?" he stuttered. However many months had passed since he had gotten to know the sprite better, he had yet again managed to find a reason to stutter when talking o him. Since he had been in school all the time, he only addressed his teacher in a very formal manner but he thought it would just be an inconvenience on the road. Reikon didn't mean to be disrespectful not really imagining addressing his teacher without an honorific, however, he considered that the "mister" in front of his own name to be slightly weird.

He looked up at his teacher and noticed his hair was again untied, a fashion which he seldom wore on school grounds. The sun was shinning, which made it look as though the soft hair was made out of fine rubies which threw rays in every direction.

"I'm... all set... " he concluded, llooking at his teacher.

Aster was glad to hear Reikon was alright that he may have been a bit late in coming out. He heard how he was addressed and thought that, since they were no longer in school, it wasn't necessary.

He thought over how he wanted to address Reikon. Using his last name in a way he wasn't so familiar would be...different but he could manage. "Alright, I'll call you Reikon then, but if we're going by first name basis then just call me Aster." He really didn't mind being addressed that way. It was simpler then using any honorific to address him. If Reikon didn't like the way he had addressed him then he had absolutely no problem addressing him in whatever manner he preferred. Hearing the what Reikon spoke, he couldn't miss him stuttering, he thought it was...cute. He wasn't sure if that was the best way to describe it but he could recall the other times on the past when he had done so and he would think the word did suit.

"Then we're both ready to go." He spoke after hearing what Reikon said last. "Let's be off then." He didn't see any reason for them to hang around the school any longer. He had offered to take Reikon to his home and that was what he intended to do. It wasn't exactly nearby. They had quite a ways to go but he knew where they were going. He took one step froward then another before looking back to Reikon to see if he was coming along. They would be walking and traveling together after all.

"Oh... err...ok" Reikon replied visibly taken aback by the prospect of calling his teacher by his giving name. 'Aster... Aster... Aster...' the boy repeated the name in his mind over and over again, as though to imprint it. Realizing he was just standing in the middle of the road, he shook his head and looked in front, at the sprite who had stopped to wait for him.

"I'm coming!" Reikon ran next to him. 'Aster...' he continued in his mind. He smiled at the sprite and started walking beside him. In his mind, the name kept repeating, as though trying to replace the habit of calling him "professor" or "sir".

"So... where are we headed first? he asked, glancing sideways at his teacher, his green eyes glowing like molten gold in the bright summer sun.
PostPosted: Fri May 30, 2008 7:31 pm

Aster wondered if it was so much of a surprise to Reikon for him to call him by his first name. He had noticed it seemed like he was but he said nothing on it. He merely waited as he saw Reikon come to run up beside him. As soon as he came up to him he started walking once more.

Hearing the question Reikon asked he was thoughtful as he looked ahead. He had mentally planned out something since he knew whee they were heading. "Well, I figured we would pass through town before we went on from there." Not that he was going out of their way. They really did have to pass through town. It would just be longer to go around it so he said it like that. "Would their happen to be anything you like to get while we're there?" He thought ask this as he looked at the boy who was once his student. After that they would go on elsewhere. Just take the road leading out of town and then still had quite a ways to go from there. Unfortunately it wasn't like his home was a day away. It really would take some time to get there.

"Hmm... I should stock up on some smoked meat since it's one of the few things that last, no matter the weather this time of the year. And you never know when something comes up so it's best to be prepared. Also, I should drop by the blacksmith to sharpen my dagger." he rubbed his chin as he spoke.

The dagger had been given to him by his oldest brother when he turned 14. It was a beautiful weapon, crafted out of the finest steel and engraved with runes. Even though it was beautiful, it wasn't just a decorative item. In skilled hands, it was a deadly weapon who was said to be able to cut even through armors. Reikon however had used it for ceremonial purposes. Also, sometimes to perform certain blood spells which were specific to his kind. Never did he had to use it in any sort of combat. Neither the dagger, or the dangerous spells. It was just mandatory for every member of his tribe to know them and it was prohibited to teach them to outsiders.

"How many day's walk do you think it will take to reach your home from the academy, professor... Err... I mean... Aster?" the boy asked, glancing sideways at the sprite, blushing slightly at the mention of his given name.
PostPosted: Sat May 31, 2008 4:12 pm

Aster simply gave a slight nod towards what he heard Reikon say. So, it was indeed a good thing they were going through town. It seemed Reikon already planned what he wanted to do. Thinking on it now he really should keep in mind what he wanted to get, if he were to get anything. He hadn't left with much when he first set out, before he went to the school, and so he didn't need that much now. However considering he was traveling with someone he should reconsider that. He would have to take a look around once he got to town. It wasn't that far away so he didn't expect a long walk.

Looking ahead now he heard Reikon speak once more and looked his way. He noticed he had called him professor but then switched to his first name. "About a week or so, but it would depend on how things go along the way." It depended on how the weather would be and whether they got sidetracked somehow or not. He didn't think that last part would happen though. He was very much looking forward to getting home so he wasn't going to let anything slow him down. "I hope that isn't a problem." He wondered if Reikon would change his mind now. Hopefully a week didn't seem too long to him.

"Wow... I dunno... I was under the impression it was further away..." Reikon smiled. "I'm so exited! Do you think I need anything else? I mean... could you tell me some thing about the road? Are there inns on the way? Will we be camping? Are there any waters or mountains or... I'm asking because I wanted to know if I should buy anything else while in town" he continued.

The rapid fire of questions continued until they reached the edge of the town. Only when Reikon looked at the sprite again did he realize he had been asking too many questions and not even waiting for a reply to any. 'Stupid!' he scolded himself for being rude. "Errr... I'm sorry... I'm just really excited about all this..." he smiled coyly, rubbing the back of his head with his hands.

They went past the first houses of the town, slowly reaching what was supposedly the main square, where the most important shops and services could be found.
PostPosted: Sat May 31, 2008 5:36 pm

Aster supposed that might have been expected. The fact his home was further away. He had actually traveled around for quite a bit before he decided to come to the school so perhaps he was mistaken. Well, he knew where he was going and that's all that should have mattered. Listening to all the questions the Reikon asked made him think over how he would answer each one.

It seemed Reikon had quite a bit in mind that he wanted to know. He merely smiled a bit as he looked at Reikon and heard what he said with apologizing. "No, need to apologize." He thought to say now thinking to answer his questions. "Well, since we are taking the same route I took to get here I would have to say we'll come across our fair share of both inns and then camping." He thought back and then realized something. "There is a mountain and a body of water we will pass." He did travel really far to get here and he realized if they were going to take the way he had come then they would be going out of the way. He had estimated how long it would be to get home but that was a more direct route and not going here and there as he had done so long ago.

"I'm afraid it will take a bit longer then I originally said to get to my home." Aster would hope that Reikon still didn't mind. He looked up now to see where they were. Apparently they had walked into the main part of town where the shops were. "We'll really be traveling far." It really was out of the way here. He supposed that was how his kind did remain so secluded and practically impossible to find.

"I see..." Reikon looked at his teacher. "Well, I'm really looking forward to it!" he beamed at him.

Looking around, trying to remember where the shops were, he turned back towards the sprite and ask. "I think it will take some time till we both get things cleared up. Should we split up and meet back here, next to the fountain, in one hour?" he pointed to an artesian fountain in the middle of the square.

"I mean... I think it will be faster than to both go and settle each other's things together... Are you ok with this?" he looked quizzically at Aster.
