This is the thread where we recommend things to our fellow guild members. Be they books, comics, bands, movies, online stores, or whatever have you, this is the place to talk about it!
Post why you would like people to check out your recommendations, along with a link to a website concerning the item you'd like people to see. :3

I'll go first, with just a few to start it off:

of Montreal (band): A very upbeat indie band for people who aren't afraid to listen to a bit of experimentally alternative jive. Plus, they're really cute.

Yotsuba (manga): I know that manga isn't for everyone, but this one is definitely worth a read or two. It's absolutely ridiculous, with chapters about trivial things like laundry, shopping, cicada hunting, and revenge taken with a water pistol. The best thing about it is that it's all available ONLINE! 8D

The Labyrinth (film): A movie about David Bowie's crotch IN THE 80s! Okay not really. The plot revolves around Sarah's quest to rescue her little brother from the Goblin King while trapped in a world that is an enormous fantasy maze. Also, it has puppets and trippy visual effects. WHAT'S NOT TO LIKE?

Now it's your turn! :0

The Scene Aesthetic (Band(no link)): Their a very relaxing band, they play mainly acoustic music, and its way romantic. Great for relaxing or to just chill down too.

The Spill Canvas: same as above. (sp? on band name)

If you like watching animes, then there is this website I somehow found called Naruto Wire. It has a bunch of animes, even ones I've never heard of.
That's all I have for now.

@Gore: I'm really digging those bands. Acoustic guitar is usually something I like to take in moderation, but those guys pull it off really well!

@Mini: I'll definitely be giving that site a look.

I actually look up to them, because to me its so hard to play acoustic like they do. They amaze alot of people.

I personally look up to Tenacious D for their acoustic work, but y'know, whatever floats your boat.

ooh! I have a couple of other things to recommend to you guys.

Tekkonkinkreet (movie & manga): Both the forms of media in which this story has been told through are worth experiencing. Black and White are two orphans who roam the streets of Treasure Town, beating down any thug or yakuza who gets in their way. When mysterious foreign entrepreneurs appear with the intention of tearing down Treasure Town and replacing it with an amusement park, Black and White face their greatest adversaries yet. It is up to the destructive Black to save the fate of the city and up to the gentle White to save Black from his own dark nature. SO GOOD.

Ghost World (movie & comic): I saw the movie before I read the comic, but it really makes more sense if you read the comic before you watch the movie. The art in the comic is marvelous, and the characters are entrancing. I totally recommend both.

Heartsdale__(band): Pretty awesome, j-rock. Most known for their song in the Haruhi "Skittles" AMV. The song I recommend is Candy POP!

The Cab__(band): Awesome new band from FueledByRamen. They're rock, obviously. I like their song One Of THOSE Nights, it's a mash of a few bands. Panic At The Disco pops up in there and so does Fall Out Boy. I love them.

Powerspace__(band): Also a new band from FueledByRamen. They have a techno twist to a few of their songs, so I think they're pretty interesting. I recommend their song Be Aggressive. It's a fav of mine.

JarteA free word processor. I looked it up since I still have schoolwork to do, whether or not I can pay 135$ for MS word. >.< Its very pretty and has some good features while still being fairly streamline.

Pandora a free online radio site. Just put in your fave band and it will make a radio station with songs smiler to the artist you put in. You can skip the song, veto the song, say that you like the song, or put the song on the shelf for a month if you're tired of it. it is all pretty much hands free, so i really like it while browsing the web.

Anyways, I found interesting book, and thought I might share it!
EPIC by Conor Kostick

This book takes place after the human race leaves Earth, who somehow lost all modernized technology in the transition, except for one thing. A video game, a virtual one at that. Since this is the only modern piece of technology they have, the entire world it built off of it. The government uses it to settle issues, such as the release of resources to certain districts. All violence is banned from the real world, and is instead settled inside the game. If youre poor in the game, you sure as hell are poor in the real world.

When Central Allocations sends the main characters, Eriks', father into exile, he takes on the system. He goes head to head with the toughest from Central Allocations and makes his way through the toughest of curve balls with the help of his four friends.
