So, I might be starting college in November. I'm extremely excited but i'm also extremely nervous. More nervous. School has never been the thing for me, it took alot for me to just graduate highschool. And i'm nervous about college. I have finally picked something that I think I will enjoy, but i'm so scared that I won't beable to do it, or I won't be good at it or I won't get a job when i'm done school and I will owe all this money, and I will still be stuck in a part time job. This is a huge step for me because I never thought that I would make it to college. I always thought about it, but now i'm actually doing it. And it's so scary. I can't even manage my moods these days, how am I going to manage a career?

RELAX!
Worrying won't help you or your moods. It will only bring worry. Just take a deep breath and tell yourself, "I CAN DO ANYTHING!" Just keep telling yourself that. It sounds silly but it does help. When you start feeling overwhelmed again, take a deep breath and tell yourself ,"I CAN DO ANYTHING!"
Quit worrying over when you are done college and whether or not you will get a job. Just take one thing at a time. Start with your first day at college and then your second day of college, ect. You will only be hurting yourself by second guessing yourself, and will feel overwhelmed.
I just started a college course on-line and was nervous about whether I could do it or not. I have started and each time I have to log on and do a class I get nervous, but when I am done I feel great! It is a good feeling to accomplish this on your own.
College is supposed to be a great time of your life, not something terrifying. If you feel that you are not going to succeed, then maybe start part-time to see how you handle things and build your confidence up from there. Then next semester you could enroll full-time if you handle the first semester well. Just don't take on too much at a time and get overwhelmed. I know that when I am feeling good, that is the time I really have to watch myself, and not take on too much.
I hope this is helpfull and I wish you all the best in your college pursuit.

Congratulations MsMaxie! Fears aside a good education comes in handy, what subjects will you be taking?

I liked the advice above, one thing at a time and don't make it a self-fulfilled prophesy of ill things, see the positives and run with those instead.

Good luck to you, I hope all your worrying is for nothing and all goes well!
