 Alright guys. I saw this in the GCD a while back and thought it deserved to be here.
Whats your opinion on spending money for pixels? Do you think it's worth it? Or is it just a waste? Personally I think it's both beneficial and worth it. You're supporting a website you like, and getting an item you'll enjoy.

I think it's kind of sad that people out there spend money for pixels. I don't think it's worth it. I'd rather buy actual things with the little money I get. But I'm guilty, I've boughten myself a $25 cash card before. Well at least Gaia is making it's money.

Over the years, I've spent.. a lot. Like, a LOT. xD
If I have the extra money to spend, and I want to spend it on Gaia, I don't see what the problem is. It's not like I'm stealing money out of stranger's wallet.
What's the difference between buying MC/cash and saaaaaay.. going to a movie? Not much really. Entertainment that you don't get to really touch. I'd rather spend $20 on pretty pixels that I can enjoy for longer than a few hours. <3

angelicpyro - I really like that analogy. There really isn't much of a difference between going to a movie or buying cash for an online game. I shall use this in any further discussion on Money for Pixels in the future. Thanks. xD

I've spent around fifty bucks on mine. Don't regret it, either. I got a couple rare EIs and a few favorite MCs out of it.

I see no problem with it. If you have some spare cash to throw around, why not spend it on something you enjoy? If Gaia is something you do often and have fun with it, I consider it a worthy expenditure. I myself spend around $20 per month on Gaia, mostly on Cash that I use to buy MCs and evolving items.

I live in a small town that doesn't actually have a movie theater. Therefore if I wanted to go to one I'd have to drive up into Omaha, which is about 25 miles away. It's not really the price of the movie I care about, more the price of getting to the damn theater. xD
But that's awesome.

I think it's worth it. I mean, I can't even think of how much money I've spent on here.
Also, if you don't get a lot of money, most things on here aren't extremely expensive unless you buy in bulk. It's completely worth it.

xD I live in a rich part of the city. So the only movie theaters are near the outlet mall or the other town and they're expensive.

 I'm not going to lie. I have spent upwards of $150 on Gaia. I'm not ashamed of it either because I've managed to make a hefty profit from it all.
When the Cash Shop first opened up, my account was worth maybe 400k. I struggled to buy new MCs, had maybe 90 items in my inventory, and felt mightily inferior to my more worthy Gaian acquaintances.
Since then, I've nearly quadrupled my worth and I now have nearly 500 items in my inventory ALONE.
Not to brag or anything, but money for pixels is really a fair trade if you plan to use those pixels for a long-term investment.
