Good evening, MMO Hub, brushing off the dust on our guild today with a game I've been playing for... a few months now.
Assuming we don't randomly click titles, you'll notice it's called Grand Chase.
NA Grand Chase (Ntreev)

Grand Chase's background story is basically about a war between two kingdoms, Kanavan and Serdin. The main person behind this war is a third-party, evil queen, Kaze'Aze, whole basically causes all hell to rise over.

The Serdin kingdom decides to employ three, elite warriors to end the war, those three warriors are you.

Yes, in Grand Chase, you don't create a character and stick with you, you are given three main characters of the entire plot.

The three main characters are:
-Elesis, a Swordswoman. She uses a big sword, simple combos, strong attack, above average defense, and the easiest to learn out of all the main characters (In my opinion).
-Lire, an Archer. She uses... a bow. She can aim at about 160-ish degrees in front of her, fires a few arrows, then you need to aim again.
-Arme, the Magician. She uses a short wand. Arme can cast a variety of spells, such as a Five-Star Pentagram, a earth-pound thing, and firebolts (Very annoying, don't spam them in PvP, people hate that)

If you noticed, they're all girls. Yes, but NA Grand Chase is currently open beta, with only one hidden character available so far (there's three more, two are guys, one is a girl) that's a guy.

Anyways, so Grand Chase is a 2D side-scroller, like Maplestory, but has 3D-like graphics.
It uses mainly your keyboard, mouse is just to navigate.
Z = Attack (Hold for MP charge/attack)
X = Change skill type
C = Use items
Arrow keys to move/jump/drop down a platform.

There's two modes in GC, PvE (dungeon crawling) and PvP.
PvE is basic, create a room, wait for people (or just solo), play the dungeon, beat it, kill the boss, bam, win, reward, happy, repeat.
PvP is rather interesting, but VERRRRY frustrating also. Not only are there OH-SO-MANY n00bz in it, who just spam (Like I said, Arme's Firebolt, but also noobie MP skills, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE).

In addition to your characters (main or hidden), each character also has job advancements.
Each character has 4 jobs, including their main one (Excluding Ronan/Magic Swordsman, he only has 2 ATM).
Advancing jobs ISN'T PERMANENT. Instead, it just lets you use new weapons. The weapons let you get new skills, but your old weapon's skills are gone.
But just equip the old back and you have it back ;D

So, I'll take Lire the Archer for example, because her advancement is my favorite class.

Lire is an Archer that uses a bow as her Main job, her 1st.
When she reaches level 20 (Other GC versions may be different, NA GC is level 20) and she completes the advance quest, she is then allowed to equip DUAL Crossbows!
Okay, let's say I equip the crossbows. I play a few games. I will not have the skills from when I used the bow, I will have the skills that the crossbow gives.
If I switched back, I will have the bow skills, but not the crossbows.

Let's see what else... OH, community. Yeah, this might turn you away.
When I say graphics are like Maplestory's, so is the community.
People screaming perverted body parts, immature names, spamming (Grand Chase has a far-from-decent spam filter), sore losers, n00bz, a lot.
But, if you ignore the chat, you're fine ^^

Also, one thing that I hate, the refining rate on necklaces, it's horrible.
If you don't have cash shop, you're screwed. At 6-9 on upgrading, it has a chance of breaking where it drops to like... 1 or 3, it's horrible. It doesn't succeed a lot, and it's not helpful the upgrade things cost 1,000GP each (Necklaces take up to 1 to 4 of them, I think).

But, overall, it's quite a fun game. If I have the time, I'll take some screenshots. You may encounter some problems with running the game or so, ask me if you need anything.

Also, if you DO decide to sign up, put me as referral, there's an event going on, we both benefit out of it, but it's only limited time ^ ~"
