How would you feel if you could attend a Wiccan Temple? As far as I know, there are only 3 Wiccan Churches [a.k.a- Wiccan established buildings of worship] 1) is in Colorado as far as I have known,2) is in Richmond VA, and 3) is in Canada. If anyone can shed some light or correct my misdirection- please feel free. But back to the question, how would you feel?
Would it be a good thing, or too hectic?
Would you suggest any specific things that would occur during 'service hours' in this establishment?
What type of space would it be?
Just something to think on. heart AffrenSama

Darth Shiny says: I would be very interested in going to a Wiccan temple, and I probably would go to service. As far as what that service would be like...I don't really have any idea. Duct tape is like the Force.

There's one in Richmond, VA. It's like an hour- 2 hour drive from were I live, so I've never been there.

In May of this year, I became an ordainted minister. No, this is not a certification that is sanctioned by the Coven of the Goddess, so technically I am not a Wiccan minister or coined Wiccan priest, but I am a non-denominational Minister who chooses to identify myself with Wicca. I am legally certified by the state to perform marriages, and I think along with that I could start my own 'church'- again as a body of worship in this case, not to be wrongly identified.
That is why I asked those questions. I have been thinking on what would make a good Temple, what types of things it would involve, how the service or ceremony would go. I thought about having a Head or Main altar where the whole temple would perform rituals and ceremonies, and if anyone or a group of people wanted a small altar dedicated to a specific Pagan deity, they could set one up. Just some food for thought.
On a different note, I apologize for not being on lately. I just started college and things have been kind of busy around here.

I have thought of a Wiccan temple. When I was maybe thirteen I thought of it having a giant sun roof so you could have natural light if you wanted (still sounds good actually) A large community altar up front where people could leave what they felt was best.
The services would be the same as always, with casting a circle and going from there. Although, it would be nice to have labeled stands for the corners so anyone using the space would know the compass directions.
I'm in college too, so I understand AffrenSama, keep up the good work biggrin
