[Looks] Tall, dark and imposing, Anu's the sort who's not noticed unless he wants to be, despite his exotic looks. He has dark Egyptian skin with "tattoos" (natural birthmarks, thank you very much) swirling on his left shoulder, and striping down his forehead and nose. Burning red eyes are outlined in kohl, set in an impassive face. In the comfort of his own home, he prefers to only wear pants and some golden accessories - he's particularly fond of finger-claws. In public, he'll add either a black jacket/coat or a shirt (generally one or the other, not both). Black hair falls to the tops of his thighs, with sharp canine ears poking through on the top of his head.
[Education] Self-taught, Anubis likes to devour knowledge, but does it in privacy. He has no wish to be "taught" by others, or to admit that he doesn't know things. The chatter and bustle of formal educational institutes also scares him off ^^;;
[Occupation] Freelance assassin. Anu can be hired (for a handsome fee) to retrieve stolen items, but mostly just for killing people. It means he gets to work at night, can afford to live in luxury, and can work off his issues on other unfortunate people.
[Marital status] single
[Family] The other Egyptian dou are his "pack", but Anubis prefers to work as a lone wolf, unable to tolerate Ra for long periods of time but also unable to wrest "alpha male" status away from him.
[Diction/accent] Soft-spoken with a deep voice, Anubis can sometimes be hard to make out. When he wants you to hear him (angry or about to kill you), he is very precise with his diction, though tends to growl a little.
[Relationships] A fleeting fling or two after breaking out of Oracle left Anu with nothing but disdain for "lower life forms". He's avoided the bother since then.

[Places] Anu lives in a large, luxury flat on the outer edges of Elysium. Prior to that, he lived in a mansion with the rest of the Egyptian dou.
[Possessions] unknown, besides gold accessories and several weapons
[Hobbies] Anu likes to collect books for his personal library, and spend his free hours studying and reading. He also likes to train with weapons or just his fists and feet - his idea of "playtime". If he's not working, he likes to walk in the evenings... with a strange fascination with visiting cemetaries o.O He tends to nap in the middle of the day, though that might not be a hobby as much as a habit ^^;;
[Obsessions] Learning. Having been "born" into the Oracle Labs, Anu is aware that he missed out on a lot of knowledge that others take for granted. Not wanting to appear ignorant or stupid, he devotes a lot of time to learning as much as possible. What began as an attempt to stop him from standing out for being clues, has now caused him to stand out for knowing too much sometimes...
[Beliefs] Life hurts, people are stupid, and if you can't defend yourself you'll get ******** over. Anu's rather cynical, though he would consider himself a realist.
[Politics] Doesn't care. It's the gangsters and crime lords who are really in control, anyway.
[Ambitions] Although he wouldn't admit it, Anu would like to have a "pack" of his own, where he doesn't have to compete with someone like Ra.
[Religion] Himself and his fellow Egyptian dou?
[Superstitions] Maybe not as much of a superstition as an aversion, but Anu does Not. Like. Bright. Light.
[Fears] On an instinctual level, Anu fears Ra and other strong "alpha males", viewing them as competition who can take away the things he loves. He's wary of forming relationships or attachments, scared of being hurt. Leaving his "pack" was the hardest thing he'd ever done, and he never wants to have to go through that again. Thanks to Oracle, he also has a strong dislike of cages and scientists.
[Attitude] Anu is reserved and closed off to people he meets, although he prefers not to meet people at all, really. He puts up a cold front which is and isn't an act - he really doesn't care about 'lesser beings' or most strangers, but puts on act in front of his family or those he's close to in order to hide his feelings. While he's not exactly selfish, he is concerned with protecting himself from emotional pain. Feeling a close bond with death, Anu has no problems killing and isn't overly moral about other things. He and his 'family' of Egyptian dou are above others and as such have no need to follow the rules of society, except to fit in.
[Taste in books/music/etc] Anu's not much of a music fan, as most of it hurts his ears. If it must be on, he prefers soft, gentle music. (He's been known to hum sad ballads or love songs under his breath without realizing it, but shh!) Regarding books, he'll read almost anything. He loves to study, but also finds fiction interesting because it gives insight into culture at different times - sort of like a sneak-peek into the mind of "normal" people.
[Foods] Rare meats, wines, exotic fruits... things that you'd expect an Egyptian god to love. Anu eats out a lot, as he couldn't be bothered cooking, even though he dislikes being surrounded by people. So he tends to choose pricey, high-class restaurants where the quality of food is assured and he can have some privacy.
[Handwriting] For everyday handwriting, Anu uses a messy scrawl that's barely legible. When printing, it is much neater and classier, though still very bold and forceful.

[Talents] Anu would say his two talents were killing, and driving people away (or 'encouraging' them to keep their distance).
[History] The Egyptian Gods dou were created by Oracle, but ultimately proved too powerful to be restrained. They rebelled as a group and Oracle eventually agreed to let them go. Anubis had hated the labs, but found that the outside world was a very strange place. He stuck close to his brothers initially, but soon found that even a large mansion was too confining to share when Ra was in charge. Breaking most of the ties with his family, Anu left to live on his own and support himself.
[Current] Anu is currently enjoying a solitary life in his large apartment. He enjoys his job as an assassin, his growing library and weapons collection. Although he's not against the idea of seeing his faimly again, he isn't going to seek them out either...

Family:
[Ra] A rival, even if only in Anu's mind. This imposing dou is the reason Anu left his family, unable to take alpha male status from the vampire. Most of their conversations tend to deteriorate into arguments.
[Horus] The same age, Horus is probably the closest of the Egyptians to Anu, and just as phsyically affectionate as the younger Aren. However, Anu tries to keep some distance between them, as he views Horus as Ra's. There appears to be a love triangle of some sort between Horus, Ra and Anubis.
[Aren] His 'nephew', younger than the others (at least physically) and therefore less of an emotional risk to care about. Anu is likely to give into Aren's whims, especially if the boy teams up with his 'uncle Horus'.
[Harahkti / Bastet] Previously Bastet. After learning what Hara has gone through, Anu is very protective of him. It's not all for Hara though - Anu gets to be close to his family without having to face off against Ra. They get along surprisingly well for 'cats and dogs'.
