The Guild Staff has decided that an Avatar Arena is a wonderful idea to have. Here, you will be able to find different contests, places to request/make Tekteks, and places to get your avatar rated.
Avatar Contests
Hosting a Contest
-- As always, follow the ToS
-- If you require an Entry Fee, reward a prize.
-- Choose your winners fairly:
There are three common ways to choose your winner
1. Choose yourself
2. Have a pre-named person(s) choose
3. Hold a poll for all the guild members to vote on
Whichever way you choose, there will be a close eye kept on you to be sure you are hosting your contest fairly, and prizes (when required) are given

Participating in a Contest
-- Just as everywhere else on gaia, ever, follow the ToS
-- Have respect. Nobody needs to host a contest. It was their decision to, and it was your decision to enter their contest.
Tekteks
Tektek Requesting Thread
What's a Tektek? Visit Tektek. It's a site all about gaia. You can make dream avatars, get quest bars, find out information on items, and more!
-- Be considerate
-- Don't demand tekteks, ask
-- If you have requirements [Specific hair/eye style and color, etc] make sure it's clearly stated in your thread
-- Giving a prize to your favorite is optional. If you say you'll give a prize ANYWHERE, be sure you do
-- Make quick lists of items you like/dislike so it's easier for you makers to create a masterpiece.
Tektek Making Thread
-- Never charge to make a tektek
-- Post a form you want people to fill out, something like the following

Rating Threads
Thread you make for others to come get rated
-- Make it interesting. More people will come to you.
-- Know what you're talking about. Visit a few rating threads in the Avatar Talk if you're unsure on what is considered a "Good Rater"
-- keep an "online/offline" tag in your title so people aren't waisting their time waiting around for you to rate them while you're not even online
-- Be creative. Have unique rate styles:
Your avatar makes me think of this [song, food, movie, aroma, etc]
Asking for Rates?
-- Respect your rate! You went to them for their opinion. Not everyone will have the same opinion
-- Keep an open mind
-- Don't make an avatar for the sole purpose of receiving a low rating. You're waisting our time.
