Folks~~
Only the founding members of this Guild will probably know who I am. I was one of the first ones to join after the 2007 Elving Event where we all got to know each other. Since then, real life took over, and my time on Gaia has become quite limited. As a result, I have not been here to post or even read other people's posts very much. My posting count stands at 12 (before this one), and when I read in the newsletter that there was going to be a scrub-out of inactive members, that got me to thinking about what I wanted to do.
As much as I believe in the idea of this guild and would love to be a part of it, I just don't think my life supports it right now, and so I think I should allow my membership to be scrubbed. I don't want to be one of those people who says she's a part of something, but then doesn't actually participate. But before I go, I wanted to be sure to thank you all for being so nice to me and giving me a great group of deserving people to gift on Gaia, which is one of my favorite hobbies. wink
For those of you who are over 30 years old, I will still be active in the Over30 and Gaian Guild, and you can find me there. The rest of you should feel free to contact me any time as our friendships are not contingent on a guild membership. smile

Awww El please don't leave us! My daughter isn't active either (I think she has like 5 posts at the moment) but I am hoping to get her to post once in a while - she just hasn't had much time at all for Gaia in recent months. We miss you sweetie!

I havent been active that much in all three of my guilds as of now, just summer is here and I have to get ready for the boys to go to camp ect

My daughter isn't active either (I think she has like 5 posts at the moment) but I am hoping to get her to post once in a while - she just hasn't had much time at all for Gaia in recent months. We miss you sweetie! I'm not really sure it's up to me. The mods seemed pretty adamant that low-posting people would be scrubbed... unless I misread it, which I might have, but I don't have the newsletter in my inbox anymore so I can't double-check. So, mods, if you're out there... do I have a choice? Because life might improve for me again sometime, but if you don't want someone just lurking about, I totally understand. ~~E

Here is the section from the newsletter: Quote: We have a few members who have NEVER posted in the guild or those who have posted very little (1-10 posts)- and we would like to know if you still would like to be part of this guild? We do not want to just randomly delete anyone, so if you wish to no longer be a member please let us know. Or if the opposite is true and you would like to remain a member, again please let us know........ either way, if we have received no indication that you wish to continue your membership, we will be deleting your membership July 1st. So as long as you let us know that you want to stay I don't believe it is a problem. I am also a mod and have no intentions of deleting anyone myself. Of course if Rose buys the guild that may change I don't know. But like I said as long as you say that you want to stay you won't be deleted from what I read. Real life gets in the way and with summer being here everyone is super busy and that will bring down posting as well.

I haven't been on much lately. Mainly to do daily chances but other than that I am too busy to be here. I hope you decide to stay El. From the way I read it you just have to say that you want to stay and you won't be deleted. Maybe I am wrong.

Hey, El--we would love to have you stay--ONLY if YOU want! That's what we are trying to figure out--basically who WANTS to stay with the guild.
Being busy I can understand, I myself have had less time than when the snow was falling outside, lol! sad
Sooo....if you want to stay a member of GGOA--just let us know!! wink

to clarify for those who are confused
that post was aimed mostly at those people who have NEVER posted .. we have quite a few ........ those were the people who we were looking to get to commit to either being a member or not
Ellorien we were not thinking of deleting the founding members ... no matter their posting count
so keep that in mind and we will continue to send you the Newsletter so that you may know what is going on if you are interested in checking us out xd page 260

I havent had as much time to be online either since summer is here. I think that is probably a given for everyone. I think I have posted enough not to worry about being deleted, but just in case I do very much want to be in this guild.
I do however understand about why the mods thought to do this. We are a gift giving guild, and I am not sure that it is all that fair, when we have an event, that the people that dont even participate in the guild get included in the gifting. Maybe that is wrong to think but....it just doesnt seem fair to me. That is just an opinion. And if I am wrong and have offended anybody I apoligise.
