Let's think about the growing of the animal food, shipping it, shipping the animals to be slaughtered and then packaging the meat and shipping it to be sold. That's a lot of fumes and energy used to ship that, to water the plants, the pesticides used for growing the food.
I know this subforum is not very active, but I wonder, if any of you ate meat regularly, would you give it up for the environment? Would that ever be the main reason to become a vegetarian or vegan?

I have been thinking about becoming a vegan for a very long time, mainly because I have been hearing alot of good things about the health benefits of being vegan. Just yesterday I learned about how awful the animals are treated, and that's what finalized my decision. This will be a challenge, but it seems totally worth it so I'm up to this 3nodding
