I have one suggestion. When something big is going to happen, PM the whole guild, since most people (mainly myself) are wondering about the sub forums and other goings on within the guild.

We cannot pm the entire guild but what we can and will do is post an announcement of such event. For example, Haku's new event has been posted.

We could do that if we were on Proboards. They have a "PM all" function. Gaia used to, but now you have to type in all the names and have them on your friends-list. And that becomes very tedious and time consuming.
