Personality: The pinnacle of mad scientists everywhere. Lloyd is, in fact, pretty mad. His playful and often inapporpriately cheerful demeanor lends to his passion of Knightmare engineering. Lloyd is not exactly the aptly social type.
Background: Lloyd Asplund (ロイド・アスプルンド, Roido Asupurundo) is an earl of the Britannian nobility and the developer of the elite Knightmare Frame Lancelot. To keep from being reminded of the fragility of human lives and friendship, Lloyd immerses himself in science and has come to view people as nothing more than tools — he regards Suzaku, for example, as a mere component of the machine that he pilots. He has a tendency to mock others and is often rebuked for this behavior by Cécile Croomy, his assistant. Prior to joining the military, he attended the Imperial Colchester Institute. Lloyd's research organization, Camelot (キャメロット, Camelot), is an irregular division of the Britannian Military and has been granted permission by Prince Schneizel to operate outside the command structure and regulations of the regular Britannian armed forces.

Rakshata refers to Lloyd as the Earl of Pudding (プリン伯爵, Earl of Pudding), as pudding is his favorite food. He is engaged to wed Milly Ashford in the first season, having agreed to the union mostly in hope that he might obtain the designs of the Knightmare Frame Ganymede. As such, he is forced into doing nice things for her by Suzaku, though Milly breaks off the engagement after she graduates.

Name: Samuel R. Winchester a.k.a. Sam
Age: 18
Personality: Generally quiet and reserved, Sam is actually very fun to be around, if he regards you as a friend. He puts a general trust in everyone, yet is wary of those who have broken it.
Background: Born originally as Samuel R. Ashford (brother of chairman-now-weather-woman Milly Ashford), he was taken from his original family at the age of 1, after an agent of the Order of the Geass discovered that he possessed an unusual ability to distract those around him. This ability happened to be tied to Geass, allowing him to create multiple copies of himself in the minds of his target (it's a visual based Geass, yet it can be used as long as he can see his target, or his target can see him, consequently, he can use his geass through cameras and such. However, recordings of him using the Geass do not trigger effects). His abilities and swiftly growing intellect were impressive to the Order, and would have been named the Assassin of the Order, until a young Rolo entered the Order. At that point, he was rendered nearly useless, and struggled to gain attention, but in vain. At the age of 5, he escaped from the Order, which was located around Tokyo at the time. He wandered the streets, cold and hungry, until he found his way to an orphanage, as he had forgotten he had family. He would often sit in a corner, watching the others play. He eventually realized how to use the Geass on himself, and played or conversed with seemingly no one. He rejected everyone who came in to visit until about 6 months from when he entered. Some kids were picking on him for playing with people who weren't there, when Lady Winchester intervened, and immediately adopted the boy. Sam took a liking to Lord and Lady Winchester, and accepted them as his parents. He currently goes to Ashford academy, completely unaware that he is also an Ashford. He rarely uses his Geass anymore, except occasionally to provide an interesting conversation, or finish his homework (after all, if there are more of you that can check your work, surely one will find the mistakes razz ). He is contemplating joining the military in order to find out more about his past, and has made it his personal mission to eradicate the cruel Order of the Geass. Consequently, he has been training to use a Knightmare, though he has none of his own. He has a slight crush on Kallen Stadtfeld, and believes that there may be more to her than just the quiet, sickly girl. He is patriotic towards Britannia, yet believes that the "Numbered" colonies should receive more rights, including not to be called "Numbers".
