I wont deny the slight albiet fuzzy resemblence, except for a few facts. One, Peter was right beside Nathan the whole time. And 2, we do know of a character who is capable of changing ones facial apperance. She's from the comics, but still in the world. And part of the company.

I mean it's not Sylar's style to just shoot, he would want Pete's powers. And if HRG wanted Nathan dead, I think he would have killed him. He's well trained. I find it interesting that he didn't die. I think that it's important.

If you think about it, we don't know what Nathan's confession would have on the world, but when you look at Five Years Gone in season one Specials were hunted because they were thought to be dangerous and unpredictable. Granted, that was because of the bomb and New York, but if the same thing were to happen... wouldn't Future Peter want to fix things?
It's already been said that Nathan will be in the third season, so he must not have died... and Peter wouldn't shoot his brother to kill, just to stop the speech, if that were so.

The more I think about it, the more it may bhe possible. Current Peter wouldnt shoot his own brother, but Future peter, with any future knowledge might be led to do so. Although the bond between petrelli brothers is strong. Incrediably so. It woud have to be one heck of a reason for future peter to shoot him.

Yeah, I mean, the trenchcoat is sort of evidence enough... and Peter is always the one trying to stop something bad from happening.

And part of the company. there was one on the show, too. i think her name was candice. remember the episode where the girl took micah, and at first we think she's nikki taking him to linderman but then right after that scene, the real nikki comes home and the girls like 'nice car' to her?

Candice is dead. Thought I'd point that out. Sylar killed her, and tried to use her power. That's how he discovered he couldn't use his abilities. Candice was actually a fat goth chick.
