A little further, one more step. Black Silk crept slowly forward, toward the small herd of deer. A little closer. She moved her haunches into the position to jump and, hopefully, catch one of the deer.
Snap! Wolf instantly sprang toward the deer in her sight. Go, go, go! Move it Wolf! Quickly turning in a split second turn toward a young deer that had made a mistake by taking a wrong turn from the rest of the herd. Jumping over a fallen tree, Wolf almost jumped onto the deer's back when he suddenly turned sharply. She ran straight for a moment, then spun around and sprang off the same fallen tree onto the deer's back. Yes! Caught you, finally! The young deer tried to keep going, but soon fell completely with the added weight on his back, and the cut off air.

"Juna! Ryan! Come on you two. You can come out of hiding now." She called gently and watched as two small wolf pups came running. One cream colored the other gray, they ran almost over each other in their haste toward her.

Panting Wolf laid down next to the dead deer, she had heard the call from another wolf, what seemed hours ago. Standing up again, she quickly devoured as much of the meat that she could hold. Before hiding the carcass under a bush.
"Come Juna, come Ryan. We still have a bit of traveling to do." Wolf turned and began to walk toward the last known location that the howl could have come from.
"Where are we going?"
"You will see soon enough, dear." Black Silk answered, turning her head ever so slightly, to look at the little gray pup. They walked for about an hour before she was able to smell another wolf.
"Now you two, be very quiet. Not a noise, do you understand?" She had turned around, completely blocking the path that they were on. The two small wolf pups nodded quickly, she watched as Juna followed Ryan under a nearby raspberry bush, before she continued a little farther on the hidden path.

Black Silk moved cautiously forward, she could now see the two wolfs at the entrance of a what looked like a den. Quietly now, move slowly.... Wolf moved behind a small boulder, watching the pair as the female slept. Leaving the male to keep watch. Are you sure that this is where you heard the howl? Well, it better be. A minute went by, before she summoned enough courage to move from her hiding place and walk over to the pair. She walked as quickly as she dared, cocking her head and stopping from time to time. Before she laid down a few feet from the pair, never letting her gaze wander from the larger wolf.
"Hello." She said, shifting her feet under neath her body.

Black Silk slowly stood to her full height as she watched the two wolfs, that had shifted their gaze toward the small black wolf with a white blaze down her nose. Wolf slowly meet the eyes of the female.
"Yes, " She turned her head sideways looking back down the rocky and uneven path that she had came up. "It was you that called, right?" She asked quickly turning back, with one ear still tuned behind her, listening for any sound. She shifted uneasily, watching the black female with a blue marking.

Wolf slowly moved forward, toward the calm female, seeming to slowly take in what she had said.
"Oh! That's wonderful, ummm..... While she had spoke she had taken on a playful and relieved tone. Now she glanced back again and began to walk back down the path slowly, backwards.
"I'll be right back, I left someones behind. Please don't change your mind." She turned around and quickly moved her way down the mountainside.

"Where did she go, Ryan?" Juna moved uneasily under the cover of the raspberry bush. She crawled over to her brother, that had laid down and was patiently waiting for Wolf to come back.
"I don't know, we just have to wait."
"Why? I'm getting hungry and I only wanted to know were Mama has gone."

Black Silk shook her head, it was just like the two of them to say that they'll be quiet but talk the whole time. She slowly, and quietly, moved forward toward the bush that the noise was coming from. When she was next to it she slowly moved her head to a small opening in the leaves.
"Well, I'll be, there is a couple of wolf pups in here. I wonder were their family is. The pups jumped and circled each other for a moment before they spotted her.
"Mama!" Juna leapt out of the bush to tackle Black Silk, with Ryan not far behind. Wolf fell back from the surprise attack, laughing as she quickly stood back up.
"Alright! Thats enough play for now, I need you two to meet some people. Come, we will travel faster if I carry you. Once they had settled, Wolf quickly began to head back toward the mountainside with the pair that was willing to take them in.

Soon, once again Black Silk was at the bottom of the mountainside, carefully making her way back up the rocky and uneven path. She had both of wolf pups on her back, carrying them up to their new clan.

And..... Jump.... Wolf panted as she leapt over a cluster of rocks that was in the path. Okay... This should be wide enough. Black Silk crouched down on the path to let the two pups down, off her back. Standing back up straight, she once again began to move up the path toward the pair at the top.
"Who is that at the top, Mama?" Juna asked not a minute before she was back on her own four feet. Turning her head to look at the small pup.
"They are going to be our new leaders, dear." She answered, as she stepped over the small female wolf pup, who had suddenly got excited.
"I thought that you were the leader, Mama." Ryan said with a puzzled look on his face.
"I was, but now they are. You are to listen and obey them now, dear. Juna stop that, you going to fall. Wolf scolded quietly, Juna was looking down the side of the path, but quickly jumped back and started to run up the path then turn around and run back.
"Enough of that now, you two be good and listen to what they say." Wolf stepped carefully around the boulder she had hidden behind earlier.
"Mama what are their names?" Juna asked as she walked underneath Wolf.
"I don't know, dear, but I'm sure if your good. They will tell you." She answered, moving to where she was only a few feet from the female, before she stopped completely.
"I'm sorry, I don't remember telling you my name." At first the two pups only starred at them, then Ryan pounced toward the male, and sniffed him for a second before he began trying to play with the older male.
"My name is Black Silk, but most call me Wolf. The cream colored pup is Ryan, who should stop pestering the adults. She watched Ryan for a moment, until he finally stopped jumping on the older male, and simply watched him with curiosity.
"And this is Juna." Wolf gently nudged the gray pup forward to meet the new female. Juna moved forward with her eyes locked on the much larger female with wings.
"Whats you name?" She asked almost instantly after Wolf stopped talking.

"Blue?" Juna looked back at Wolf then back at Blue, before seeming to make up her mind on something and crouching low to the ground. Wolf only shook her head as the small pup leapt toward the other, unaware, pup.
"I'm sorry to have keep you waiting, but they were a bit far for me." Wolf smiled as laughter seemed to play behind her eyes. Turning her gaze to the now, to the male.
"And what would his name be?" She asked Blue, seeing that he was occupied with two pups getting tangled in his feet. "Juna, Ryan, thats enough." The pups quickly jumped apart, Juna ran behind Blue while Ryan began trying to get the older male's tail.
"I promise you that if no one is watching them, they always manage to break something." She walked over to Blue and whispered in her ear. "You better watch out, I think that you have someone staking you." Wolf sat back, obviously holding back her laughter at the two pups excitement. Turning her head toward the sky, she watched as a lone cloud move to the east. Quickly shaking her head she turned back just in time to see Juna jump, and miss, one of Blue's wings. While Ryan abandoned his idea of attack behind and went for the male's ears instead.

Ryan crouched down with his haunches raised and his tail waging in the movement of play. He jumped as high as he could, with paws out spread to wrap around whatever they could. He landed with his two front feet hitting the ground, but his hind feet slipping out from under him. Quickly jumping up again he ran around and underneath the male wolf called Blade.
"Juna!" He yelped as he landed on his side again, but this time from his sister's surprise attack. Who jumped back only to hit Blade's leg and tumble off to the two older females.
"I'll get you for that!" Ryan quickly pursued his sister around and underneath Blue, through Wolf's legs, and back to get tangled again, in Blade's feet.
"Ah! Stop that! Hey, that hurt!" Juna continued her cries as Ryan bit and rolled over her.
"Hey, hey, hey! Not fair! Ryan yelped as the gray pup flipped him over and switched the game to her favor. She had Ryan up against Blade's leg, were he jumped behind, and quickly turned the game to chase.


"I promise you, they can go like this for hours." Black Silk joked as they once again ran around her and Blue. "If they ever tire or annoy you, simply tell them to stop. They should, for a while at least." She laughed, as Ryan ran behind Blue and keep jumping from one side to another with his sister blocking him each time.
