THE MOTOR POOL

Welcome to the Motor Pool! If your looking for a vehicle that traverses the wasteland that we happen to have is located here! We have everything ranging from motorcycles, to tanks! The motor pool is also home to yours truly. This building is locate along the eastern wall of the Brotherhood of Steel base, taking up nearly half of half of the wall.

There are several sections to the motor pool, there is the main office building which is where all employees fill out paperwork for vehicle registrations, checkouts, returns, and anything else that requires the attention of the the General Maintenance staff. Inside the main office building are several desk approximately the same size. Looking to the left you see a weapons rack consisting of two M-16 rifles, and three 12-Gauge Tactical Shotguns. These weapons are kept in place by a steel bar preventing these weapons from being pulled off or lifted up. A solid key lock keeps these weapons in place, three boxes of ammunition sit next to it in a Plexiglas case, also key locked. In the back area of the motor pool is a room, with a big glass window showing the inside of the office, a wooden door is the entrance to said room. On the door, painted onto the glass is the name of the current General Maintenance officer. Looking into the room you can see an old wooden desk, much different from the ones sitting out in the main area. A old leather chair sit behind the desk, and in the far corner you spot a large steel safe no doubt containing copies of plans for vehicle repairs, along with blue prints awaiting approval by the General.

To the right of this building is a steel sliding door that leads into the vehicle area of the Motor Pool where everything is stored and repaired. Upon entering the Storage area you can see several sections where working vehicles are kept. There are four lifts that raise vehicles up to allow work on the underside to allow effective work to be complete. You feel cool air hit your skin as the room has a central air conditioning system. Lining the walls are tools upon tools, everything that an mechanic, or engineer would need to repair or build, any known machine on this earth.

Tanks, along with other Armored Division vehicles and technology are stored in a separate section which is monitored by camera and patrolled by two guards due to the rarity of these pieces of machinery. Not only is rare machinery stored here, but just next door is the entrance to the bases most greatest treasure, the Vault. Which is observed constantly by several cameras each covering an angle that allows one to see another making it ineffective to cover a camera without being spotted by another.
The entrance and exit for motor vehicles is located in the main repair area, normally kept closed to keep sand out, this doorway is approximately twenty feet wide and fifteen feet high. The door opens and closes by a electromagnetic system that slides two three inch thick steel shudders closed. In the case of an emergency these steel doors can close faster preventing vehicale entry or personnel entry. The speed in which it closes give anyone if in the way enough time to either bail out of their vehicle or step out of the way of the sliding doors.
Every vehicle i nthe motor pool is under the supervision of Knight Commander Mark Adam O'brian. Form fill out and returns are brought through him, failure to do so will result in strict discipline. For proper security measures key's are under lock and key by Knight Commander Mark O'brian and Jeremiah Frost (NPC controlled by me when my character is away). Each vehicle has been out fitted with a built in GPS tracking unit located in a rather odd location of the vehicle. Locations vary for each vehicle, this is used mainly for mission tracking, and locating missing and or stole vehicles. These systems have also been hardwired into the vehicle system, if one where to discover the GPS unit and yank it out it would present problems for the vehicle. Some degree of mechanics is required to remove this unit.

WORKING VEHICLE ROSTER

These vehicles are in good, orderly condition allowing them to be used regularly until a tune up is needed or a malfunction occurs. The armor is thick, the engine runs, weapons are mounted and do not malfunction. It will get you where you need to go, along with the rest of those accompanying you and will no doubt be able to take the punches from any offenders outside the base. These vehicles are the only ones recommended to be taken out into field operations. Remember it is strongly advised, but you don't always need to take the brotherhoods precious machinery.

DAMAGED VEHICLES

These vehicles are in extremely poor condition, they are having problems with the engine, the chassis is seriously damaged and missing parts. Damaged to the point where you would be lucky to even get a start when you turned the key. Problems with these vehicles vary widely, from a blown clutch to the armor plating being torn/falling off. The need for a mechanic or engineer is dire a fair deal of work done to them. In a pinch, most of these vehicles may have emergency work done to them, and will work for at least a short time before completely falling apart.

TOTALED VEHICLES

These vehicles have been all but destroyed, their main weapons can not be mounted, the armor has been beaten to nothing more than sheet metal. Due to this we have to make a decision, it must be made as to whether it would be more useful to repair it or to use the vehicle for scrap metal. These vehicles have been scavenged from the wastes, found mostly either found in the wastes or all but destroyed in combat, and would take considerable time and effort to repair.

Azure headed to the motor pool to meet his new commander Mark. It was about time he was assigned a good commander, someone who Azure knew to be competent in battle. Azure was quite tired by the fact that he kept being assigned to a new squad almost every day. It was tiring moving from one side of the base to the other.

His golden hair, bleached from its usual bluish-gray, flailed about on his head, untamed. It was held somewhat in check from consuming the rest of his head by a dark black bandanna, sprinkled with tiny white dots. His eyes were protected against the harsh wasteland sun by olive colored sunglasses. He wore a light, achromatic scarf, which covered his mouth and draped off the side of his body. It was long and reached down to his knees. His armor was that of a basic recruit, a basic leather vest, similar to Kevlar but not as effective, and a pair of pants. It carried a similar color to his glasses. His boots had been modified for wasteland travel by the instillation of a metal sole and toe tip.

He left his armaments back at the barracks, since it wasn't necessary to carry them to the motor pool. A spark from a gun could ignite engine oil and that would be bad. However, he always kept a combat knife in a belt sheath on his right hip. It was necessary to have dagger in daily BOS life for it was an all purpose tool. You could cut things that need cutting, for instance.

He entered the motor pool and looked around for his commander. He couldn't see him among all the vehicles and bits of machinery/tools. He raised his voice to be heard over the AC and general noise.

"Initiate Azure reporting for duty! I was transfered here under the General's orders."

((Continued from the Research Lab))
Zaid reached the motorpool but stopped right at the entrance

He remembered how upset Mark was about taking a few rusted sheets of metal how furious is he gonna be when he knows that Alex wants a .0198m^3 titanium block and 9 2cm X 36 cm Titanium rods

after taking a deep breath and making sure his armor was strapped tightly
he entered the motorpool and immediately noticed Azure

he approached him and said "hey pal how are you? do you know where Mark is? cuz I have an important order to deliver to him"

Azure turned as Zaid approached.

"No, I have yet to see him."
