Anybody here play 'em? And I don't mean those good ones with subscription fees. I'm talking about the poorly translated free ones, of course! Right now I'm playing a game called DOMO (site) for the second time around. I used to play on the Onyx server but I started over on the Sapphire one. <__<

Anyway, if you play it hit me up, I go by Bakuma...
Also, if you've got suggestions for any other MMOs post it and I'll give it a try. Unless it's Mabinogi again... my computer can't handle that. confused

About DOMO: Standard MMO? Not bloody likely. You can pick from 1 of 4 races. Each race can pick any class they want. And there's a bunch of 'em, too. Each class has their own seperate exp and stats, so when you switch between 'em, there's no problems (yeah, you can switch between them). Not only can you switch, though. You can use skills learned from other classes on whichever class you're on. So you can be a Blademaster that can also heal your party. Or a Martial Artist that can also shoot a Bow. Fun stuff. Then there's the story. At the beginning you pick (whether you know it or not) between one of 2 storylines, each complete with cutscenes and boss fights. Battling is standard point-click-kill so it can get a bit repetitive when grinding, but there are so many classes to try out that you can be occupied for at least a week depending on your attention span. I admit that I quit this game once because grinding got old and the company behind the game, Aeria, constantly whores out their cash shop over in-game announcements, but I came back eventually... like Gaia, I guess.

Also, there's a few of games that I have an account on but am not as active on:

Dofus - site (this one's pretty much got a subscription fee... it says it's free to play but unless you subscribe the game is extremely limited. Great gameplay and many distinct races to choose from... not much in the way of actual character customization, but it was ok. If you don't pay you can't go beyond the first town, though. Battling is like a tactical RPG except you only control your own character. Pretty nice, but the subscription kills this one for me. People also tend to say that they can't rationalize paying for a java-based MMO. *shrug* Also, let it be known that this is the only game in this post with more than 1 race available to you.)

Seal Online - site (Um... what can I say about this game? Lots of quests and such... I dunno. Besides the extremely limited character design and the horribly unbalanced classes, this was a decent game. Oh, and weapon and armor choices are also extremely limited (in that besides the special outfits and weapons, there is one set of armor and one weapon available every 10 or so levels). This game is so freakin' limited when it came to your actual character, but everything else was pretty nice. Standard point-click-kill here.)

HoLic - site (I can't actually get on this one. When I could it would overheat and crash my computer and now I can't even download the updates. Game kinda sucked, anyway. Pretty good from a gameplay POV, but I just didn't enjoy the design of anything. That, and the guild system was retarded. Try it if you want, but I suggest avoiding it entirely. Another standard point-click-kill here, with one exception. When you press 'space' your character jumps. Now all they need to do is put in a reason why jumping in that game would ever be necessary or useful at all...)

Secret of Solstice - site (What can be said about this game that can't be said about staring at a blank wall for a week? 'BORING' is the name of this game... pick one of 4 classes and then level until you realize that this is a waste of time, even compared to playing other MMOs. Here's the story in a nutshell: You exist. You're in a town where others exist. Now go kill things. I've tried Squire and Mage and my friend was Rouge and Healer... trust me, Mage is the only one worth being if you want to play this game...)

Stone Age 2 - site (it's in closed beta... pretty ok. Basically you're a caveman (or caveperson if you're overly sensitive) and you fight dinosaurs. That's it. Like Solstice you seem to exist for the sole pupose of killing things. It's a bit different though in it's battle system. This one has random battles. Y'know, walk a few steps and 'uh-oh! battle!' time. An interesting feature is that you can also capture the dinosaurs and have them fight with you. Unfortunately there seems to be a 'Mood' bar. When the 'Mood' goes down the dinosaur tends to disobey your orders. I say "unfortunately" because unfortunately for me, I have yet to find a way to bring their moods back up. Every dinosaur you catch seems to have a preexisting hatred of you.)
