The Swansong is a scavenger ship and light freighter. At least, for all intents and purposes. They do a little bit of light smuggling as well. The scavenging and freighting lend them a bit of legal currency and credibility while the smuggling gives them the right reputation in all the wrong places in the 'verse. However, the Swansong's primary occupation is gun-running. If you want weapons and have the credits, the crew of the Swansong will get them to you fast and discreetly, no questions asked.
The crew consists of Captain Miles; Hammer the gunner, cook, bodyguard and General Intimidator and Rilan Hex, the pilot. A drinking, brawling, whoring kind of crew - most definitely the WRONG place to raise a child. Unless you're looking for a child raised with few scruples and questionable morals. Miles is the brains of the operation and Hammer is his right-hand man. Rilan Hex pilots, and when she's not piloting she's drinking, fighting and sleeping around.
