I watched this movie on dvd and wondered why it took me so long to watch it.
the movie is about the ancient Battle of Thermopylae, King Leonidas and 300 Spartans fought to the death against Xerxes and his massive Persian army. Facing insurmountable odds, their valor and sacrifice inspire all of Greece to unite against their Persian enemy, drawing a line in the sand for democracy.
This movie was good very good. It was energy packed and the graphics were great. PLUS ladies if you like hot bodies these are 300 of the best bodies on the planet. I am not sure if they were adjusted my the film editor in any way but I would have loved to have gotten my hands on a few of them.
Overall the story is great, the actors are great and the movie is great. At first I thought it was going to be very dull until I really took the time. Please take the time - the story behind this is more than the movie. It is an epic tale of honor and love.
I will give it a 12 on a scale of 1 to 10.

hmmm men with swords and spears and shields fighting and decapitating other soldiers and splilling their guts out and making a Friggin bloody mes... i am confused if i liek the movie cause of the warrior style and the thought of vigilant warriors fighting to their last breath to protect their country and their children women and elders or should i say YUCK cause the movie is all about bloody war and i dont like it.
neutral friggin hard choice... but the movie was good and i watched it several times.

I thought it was awesome - not only the fact that those were some hot men in there but there dedication to what they believed in made them ... real men - kinda don't have those any more ya know!

I had mixed feelings about this movie. Cinimaticaly this was a great movie. But it really did not tell you everything and in some part made up of the mythology behind the really war of sparta and 300. First it was a lot of dramatization with how many mean the Persians actualy had. Second sparta was located a little farther away from rome then it is stated and the whole mythological part of the movie was cut. It was more of the dier love of one man for his land that he fought to the death for it. It was less training and dramatization of him livinf among the wolves and everything. It was ok but again could have stayed a little truer to the mythology of the real battle.

The special effects in this movie were some the the best I've seen. I read a lot and am in the middle of writing a couple of books and researching for history to get the story line correct is kind of difficult. At least for me. This movie showing 300 Spartans against all of Xerxes' and showing how it could have been at that time was so interesting. It gave an idea at the very least of how courageous this people were to fight this battle in the first place. They could have packed up and run for the hills. And where oh where did they ever come up with that giant to play Xerxes? Was that guy for real or was it all special effects? And yes they skipped a lot of the mythical part of the story but like I said their courageousness in saving their homes I believe is a key part over and over and over during history.

Lol, I LOVED THE MOVIE!!
It was a really good movie, I loved the blood and everything. Sometimes I wish I could be there, just watching them on a rock, laughing at some warriors stupidity, and when spears would come my way, I would have ninja skills and dodge them! I would rate it a 10/10.

I am dude but I will go ahead and say it damn!@ Did they have to make those guys abs look like that - do you know what it is like now to have to compete with that !! hahahahah holy s**t all the girls want to know now is what do your abs look like ... I liked the movie have seen it a few times and the story is good - sad but good. Makes you wonder what it would have been like to live back in that time - what kind of man would you have been - ????

this movie has got alot of action so i probably wont be seeing it any time soon. but i still cant get over the hole "Madness? THIS IS SPARTA!!!!!" that just cracks me up blaugh

Oh my gosh.... If any of you know me well enough you kknow that I love this movie.... lol... I even have a page in Bebo that has 300 plastered all over it.... yum yum!!! nothing like the underdog smacking it to the establishment!!! The battlescenes were great, not to mention the hotties.... and the terrific narration!!!

This movie was a SWEET movie... I loved it.. All the blood and guts... it was amazing..
It was also very historically accurate.. which made it even better!

 Suspicious - Arousing or apt to arouse doubt ; questionable I just watched it last night! It made me wonder, "WHY didn't I think to watch this earlier?" And the guys' abs. I feel for you, Stand. ;D The courage and moral of the Spartan society as it was depicted in the movie – it moved me to tears in the end, during the story-telling. I loved 300! Nanna, I think you’re one of the coolest ladies I’ve ever heard of. 40 years young and still as lively as you are? AND being the first person to post something about 300? Spartans truly were the finest warriors in all the world except for maybe one or two exceptional people. Hm, I am not about to try to compete with those looks. Plus Sparta was the cruelest place in the world for how they raised people...if you were born with an imperfection you were tossed into the woods to die. I have never seen the movie but I want to...I have always considered fighting and dying by the blade for what you believe in to be the most honorable thing you can do.
