Anyone else a fan o' those old movies with Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers? Audry Hepburn and/or Clark Gable? :3
I grew up watching old movies and shows that featured the old stars (such as Murder, She Wrote. )
A couple o' me own favorites are White Christmas, Easter Parade, Stagedoor, Gaslight, Nosferatu (silent film, yay!), and just about any John Wayne film. I love watching Fred Astaire dance, such a pity he was self-conscious about his hands, thinking they were too big.

I have yet to see Nosferatu, but I heard that was pretty awesome. I also have only seen I Audry Hepburn film, the one about her character getting taught how to speak correctly and fit into society.
But I have for older movies on occasion, especially older horror movies, not just because most new ones suck, but because some of the older ones were either genious or so badly made that they are funny.

That Audry Hepburn movie is My Fair Lady, based off of the theater/play version called Pygmalion. And Pygmalion is actually based off of the old myth of a sculptor falling in love with his creation, a statue that comes to life by Aphrodite's will. (Been studying ancient cultures since the second grade. XP )
Nosferatu is great, I highly recommend it. I have some other silent films, like the original Hunchback of Notre Dame movie (Which, when I brought into drama class when in high school, no one seemed to get the concept of a silent film and kept yelling "Turn it up! I can't hear it, turn it up!" )
Agreed, the newer ones are just blood and gore. Rather boring. And a really terrible old horror movie is one my mom loves to watch: Them! Them! is about giant ants eating people. XD

Heheh, wow, your old drama class proves that uman stupid knows no bounds. My favorite older horror movies are the original Frankensten, Bride of Frankenstein, The Exorcist (Even though it's slow at first..) Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho. My favorite newer horror movies has to be Silence of The Lambs. Above all I love horror movies that mess with the brain a little. As for bad ones look into stuff like Attack of The Giant Gila Monster. Heheh, just think of Godzilla with a real lizard magnified. rofl

Indeed. I was also the only fourth year theater person and am a techy. XP Didn't help matters when explaining acting and things to them from my own experiences. Hate being on stage. >.<
Anyways, aye. Not really that old of a movie (from the 70's), but I love Young Frankenstein XD Greatness in a jar. I really don't have one favorite of anything, but Gaslight is considered a horror/suspense movie. There are a couple really good ones I'd recommend if I wasn't currently having a brain-fart. >.< All those movies you listed are classics. :3
OH! There was one movie that I do not know the name to that has giant sea snails/slugs/something-of-the-like that are alien and start eating people as well. XD
There was one movie that did that exact same thing but they destroyed Atlantis just to escape. Those people should have been eaten for both their terrible acting and for destroying Atlantis, even if it is just a movie.

The directors should've been reading The Fantastic Four, then they'd know that you couldn't just destroy atlantis. rolleyes

I love White Christmas! xd And some of my favourites are Funny Face (Audrey Hepburn plus fashion can never be bad), High Society and Daddy Long Legs.
I used to watch them with my grandparents when I was tiny so now I love them for nostalgia value as well as for their own sake.
