It had been a bit since Marcellin had seen the lovely little filly he had been so close with during foalhood. They'd been best friends, much like he and Seelie were becoming. His tail flicked slightly, and the curls cascaded around his ankles.
His amethyst eyes sparkled as he walked, his head held high and his smile there. He had grown to be a lovely stallion..As gorgeous as one could ever imagine.. But he had been raised with two of themost loving parents, and he had become quite the gentleman. His mother told him he would woo a mare much like his father had done..He had such a knack for mares feelings.. He had smiled at that.. It had been the best thing he'd ever heard.

It was hard to imagine that she was grown up... Just like she'd always dreamed, here she was, standing at the riverside, an adult. Her wings, at full spread, were like a hawk's but a soft snowy white with golden tipped feathers. Her ankles were adorned with her father's gold armor and instead of a horn, she had a single golden spot on her forehead where Amarinne's horn would be. She was beautiful, but Amerlei herself didn't think so...
She backed up a few steps, then leapt the river, loping through the field towards That River.
The river she'd met him at. Her savior...at one time, anyhow.
She'd forgotten him for awhile, once. Her father's influence. But she was out from under that. Now she was headed back to face her fear of water. With no sister to laugh at her as she failed miserably.

Marcellin saw the vision of white approaching, and he looked up from the water, to see her..She was snowy and winged, lovely..and yet, familiar. Something about him pulled at his memory, and he cocked his head.
If it was whom he thought it could be..She had grown very beautiful indeed..She was beautiful. Her mane drug to the earth, and her eyes were blue as the sky.
He offered a kind smile.
"Hello!" He called, finding it odd that he had traveled during hte day..when as a foal, he had adored the night.. You couldnt chase butterflies in the dark..

The pendant swung freely around Amerlei's neck as she lowered her head to drink from the pond. Ears swiveled and her long tail flicked flies from her rump... They were thirsty as well. It was the heat.
Fear butterflying up her stomach, she edged into the water, front hooves sinking into muck until she was ankle-deep in the stuff.
And then she heard a voice.
Merl squealed, rearing back and sending mud flying everywhere, rather ungraceful as it flew towards the incoming stallion. Her nostrils flared and her wings outstretched, she sent a glare to the newcomer.
Only to have her heart nearly stop.
No...it couldn't be...
"...Marcellin?"

He heard his name, and as she approached him, he couldnt help butsmile at the face that had been his friend once before.
"Amerlei!" He said smiling. His locks fell into his eyes, causing him to shake his head to rid himself of the blockage.
"Is it reallyyou?" He asked, almost seeing the little white filly in her.

When his ears perked and that mane fell into his eyes, boyish and cute the way he was, she knew for certain. The little colt who'd saved her once... He was a stallion, now...
She stood several foot away from him and canted her head to one side. "Of course, boyo! Who else would I be?"

He had so much to tell her, and his thoughts just started pouring into his mind. He wanted to tell her of his childhood love..He wanted to tell her of how happy he was and how amazing his family had been to him.. Hell..He even wanted to tell her that he had missed her so much..But felt odd doing so, as he was hoping he didnt see her as a best friend, and her not see it back.
"Im so happy to see you!" He beamed, looking her over. "My how you've grown. From swan feather to Angel Wings." He said grinning.

Merl grinned at him, her own ears pricked forwards. It had been a long while; he had been a savior, a best friend... Was he still that? Could she still trust he'd be that way?
"Me? You've grown! Look at the wing pattern on your back! You look like your pop!"
Angel wings... The mare stretched out her useless appendages and laughed. "I can't fly."

He gave a hearty laugh.
"So you cant fly. I cant either. But you still grewup phenomenal." He said with a small grin. He was aware he looked like his father, and wasquite happy for the thought. His family was a handsome family..He loved them dearly.
"Howve you been,Angel wings?"

He was right. He had the 'wings' and yet, he couldn't take to the skies either. It was just...odd for her. To have wings. And not use them.
"I've been fine, Marc. I met...someone." To be honest, Merlei wasn't quite certain what to label Ciardha and herself. They weren't mates. As much as she loved him, she didn't. But it didn't matter. "What about you?"

[Im going to have him say he found someone too, Seelie, but she isnt grown from Si's customs]]
Marc smiled. Good, she had found happiness, or so he had assumed.
"Oh really? Do you love him?" He asked with a teasing tone and nudging her gently. "Cause you need love<3" Of course, Marc thought everyone needed and deserved love.
"I met someone too.." His pretty little black flutter with her purple malformed butterfly wings. "Her name is Seelie, and she is amazing." Life had seemed to pass them by, and they had aged and grown up so much.

Seelie... She'd have to look the mare up when she was in the area. She had to be amazing if Marc seemed so keen on her.
"I'm glad!" she grinned, no jealousy in her voice. Marc deserved someone who would be there for him 24/7. He deserved unconditional love and that was something that Amerlei herself wasn't sure she'd ever be able to give. She was too much the gypsy.
"Love him?" The mare paused, considering. "I don't know. Should I love him?"

He shook his head. "No, you dont have to love him. Love is earned, and if he hasnt earned it, then no, you should not love him." He smiled. "Something my mother tells me.. Love cannot be forced."
If that wasnt ever the truth. If you had asked Marc a long time ago, he would have said that his love for this white mare would last forever and that one day, shed be his.
But life had seperated the best friends, and they had grown away from the ideas they had once had.

She nodded at his response.
So maybe she didn't love Cia. Maybe she never did. Maybe he was just there to fill the empty need she'd discovered shortly after her second year. And maybe she'd stay, but at the same time...maybe she'd go.
She wasn't sure.
"I think...maybe I'll give it time," she said with a smile. And she stretched her wings out. "First thing...I have to learn how to fly!"
