I have a summer art assignment to make a photoshop piece that is mainly vector in feel. I also need to do a write up of my thinking and working process and do a 16 x 20 preliminary sketch.
Those things are required.

I can understand having a sketch, but fully rendered? wtf!
Is it just me having difficulties grasping this?
Do you have a process like this when you have an idea?

No, I don't think I have any kind of thought process at all.. O.o

Mostly I just take it to the computer and figure it out there.

Good Luck <3

I rarely have a process, but when i do, i usually start off like so:

-Write down the certain colors for the project and where to place them
-Make a rough sketch of where i want them to go
-Jot down a few key points that i need to focus on the most

This is my usual process:
- Get a surge of creativity feeling.
- Decide I want to create something on photoshop.
- Open a blank document.
- Stare at said document for awhile.
- Open the internet and browse for awhile, leaving aforementioned document open, still blank, deciding that I'll come back to it later.
- Create something that doesn't look very nice.
- Close photoshop without saving.

If I'm lucky enough to know what I want to make, then I'll switch between browsing the internet and working on my photoshop project.
