1 year after the lost Zanarkand, Sage went train to be the best, but soon he was attacked by group of heartless and took but barely escaped. He then lost his way in the path of light and dark. He was hurt by the heartless and was questioning the path of light. "Is the keyblade the price to pay for salvation or is the keyblade the way to destroy the worlds?" He was then attacked again not knowing he had been surrounded by heartless. He then attempted to sacrificed himself to the become a heartless to rid himself of this endless pursuit that lurked behind him. But before the heartless could get to him a dark aura began to form at his feet that dragged him to a dark world There he began to be sucked into the darkness by an unknown force. He then realized that it didn't just want the heart it wanted everything from the body to the heart and soul. He was then was saved by a a wandering man, a denizen of darkness. However, the only thing that was managed to be saved was Sage's heart and soul. However, the man looked familiar but Sage thought nothing of it. Soon the Sage would realize that this man who saved him was known as Kazei. Soon Sage was recruited into a secluded alliance that he never new existed. With a heart and soul still in contact, Sage had rose in the ranks and had became a high ranking Heartless. When he took his first step on this new path of darkness he would noticed that a heartless symbol formed upon his chest and his whole appearance changed not knowing the black creature corrupted his heart. Now he has resurfaced to seek the truth of the dark keybearer.
