Is he just some guy, or (my theory) is he Luis' grandfather. A paper you find says that he taught Luis a bunch of secret passages (that he, himself uses to get between the shop locations so un-niotced that the genados don't even know he's there [they never even mention him in intruder notices, papers, etc.]). They say he's dead, but what if they "killed" him by shooting him and he wore a bullet-proof vest and just faked his death, to avoid being captured, thats why the merchant always comes back after you "kill him". Do you agree or disagree?

well, the merchant is a genado, had to break the news to ya. if you dont believe me, then play the gamecube version, his eyes glow like the genados.

1: Why would a genado sell you things to kill other genados when they are all (merchant included) under Mendez, Salazar, and Saddler's control?
2: I have the wii version, I've seen his eyes, they dont glow all the time, and when they do, if you look at an angle you can see the lights are in front of his eyes, they are still blue, so maybe for some reason he has orange lights built into his hood.
3: The P.R.L. 412 kills genados in one fully charged hit, and stuns them with one un-charged hit, try using it on the merchant. NOTHING HAPPENS!
Explain those.

ok you know what, i dont have the answers to the all the questions about this game, so dont give me all this crap just trying to prove me wrong.
so...
1. if you paid attention through the game instead of just killing and sh!t, youd know that the plaga changes depending on the hosts personality. so maybe that saddler crap dosnt work on the merchant, if so, the genados wouldnt be using pitchforks and axes.
2. when the f*ck did i say Wii verson of resident evil 4? i said gamecube version, ive played all versions of the damn game and i noticed that the merchant isnt a genado in the the wii version, i cant remember if his eyes are different in the ps2 version. but its clearly glowing red in the gamecube version.
3. oh thanks for reminding me about the stupid light gun. who cares about it? honestly? did you play the whole game using that sorry excuse of a weapon? if you did, then your not having that much fun playing re4. but hey, whos judging you? plus if it didnt kill the merchant in the ps2 version and/or the wii version then hes clearly not a genado. so if you havent played the game before the ps2 version then you wouldnt know that he is first a genado.

god, you dont need to get all pissed off, chill the fuc! out, and when I said the wii version, I meant that I was talking about the wii version, not saying the wii version is like all others, also, did i ever say i used the light gun at all, besides on the merchant, mabye in the GC version he is a genado, but since the wii version is the latest releace with all the extra content, i take what is in that one as the true account.

alright, now your just being stupid. i just explained things to you about the crap you wanted me to prove. and when i said gamecube version of the game i meant it, you cant just blow off information about a game just because a new version of the game was released. youve got to be open minded about things like this.

well you cant just blow off the PRL cause you dont like it, but,fine, fine, i guess youre right about the other things, but i can say this: in the wii version(by what I found) he is not a genado, and in the gamecube version (since im pretty sure that the PRL isnt in the gc version), by what you said, he is a genado, maybe they decieded to change it somewhere along the line. and will someone with a PS2 version comment on this, and tell if he's a genado or not on that one. But seriously, since the Wii version was the latest release, shouldnt their final decesion be taken into account as the main one, i mean, we dont say any beta versions are the true account, do we?
